When you have high expectations, it's easier to be disappointed. However, the Trecca family won me over at first bite! As a restaurant enthusiast, I recognized the meticulous attention to ingredients and preparation that has elevated their Roman cuisine to unrivaled heights. Furthermore, Diego's passion and expertise for wine amazed us. It all transformed a simple dinner into an experience to remember. We can't wait to return soon! ;-)

Classic and non-classic dishes, but still local, excellent wines, no house wine, friendly staff, average price

The best pasta I ate in Italy, it was the first one that truly "made my eyes shine." Excellent service, without a doubt. It was like being in Brazil even without speaking Portuguese. Friendly and attentive. The restaurant's only drawback is that it doesn't sell soda.

just a 15 min car ride outside of the city center is Trattoria Trecca, a restaurant I found after reading many food bloggers reviews, of the most to restaurants in Rome. If Rome wasnt magical enough, coming to Trecca felt like being invited to a Romans home to eat the dishes his grandma cooked, nothing pretentious, nothing fancy, just good Italian food. Diego made us feel like we were in his house, suggesting dishes, telling us about his favorite wine and giving us the best options to enjoy. Seeing us happy you can see how that made him happy and that connection for us was really special. You dont get to experience this anymore anywhere you go, people that love their work and want to share their food traditions with others. The starters of tomato and potato , simple but so delish at the same time, the pasta w mushrooms and olive oil was just like I envision a Nona making it, the bread was spectacular, the chicken, the meat fell of the bone effortlessly and the Pannacotta w caramel and Tiramisu were so fresh and the right amount of flavors. We left happy not only because of the food but because of the amazing service Diego gave us, the place itself is cozy and worth the trip.

A very good Roman restaurant, highly recommended. The appetizers and pasta dishes are delicious. We'll definitely be back.

I can't think of any other place in the city where I've found so much skill and love in creating Roman cuisine.

Excellent food, although the selection isn't overwhelming, quality and seasonality deserve recognition. Good value for money Friendly staff We'll be back, but it's a shame it's always hard to find a seat.
