To leave a completely transparent review, I'd like to point out that I've known Carlotta, the host, for many years, but I'd never visited her restaurant. Last night, I was fortunate enough to dine at 'Tre cipolla sul comò' for the first time. I could tell from the name that it was a unique place, but the experience exceeded my expectations. The place is clean (enough to let my nephew run around barefoot!) and decorated with extreme care and originality... down to the smallest details. The food is delicious and inclusive. I have severe dietary restrictions (gluten and lactose), and I didn't feel limited in my choices. The menu caters to everyone. I had fried gnocchi with vegetable fondue, slow-cooked meat, grilled vegetables, and homemade fries. Everything was delicious. The meat was absolutely stellar. My niece, on the other hand, who has traditional tastes, had meatballs with pecorino cheese and tagliatelle with sausage. She also left her plates empty. The prices are competitive and the portions are generous. A restaurant you absolutely must try, offering a variety of experiences: a sensory experience, a dive into Calabrian tradition, a glimpse into culinary innovation, the pleasure of family simplicity, and a sense of inclusion—food, physical, and emotional.

At this restaurant, we found a great deal of care and passion throughout. The restaurant, which also offers outside seating, is beautifully presented with many thoughtful details. The walls feature several very interesting quotes. The menu offers something for every taste, which the owner explains (upon request) with great passion and a meticulous selection of ingredients. The service was excellent, with reasonable waiting times between courses and a focus on the well-being of diners. If you're passing through Rende, we recommend stopping here for a quality lunch (or dinner).

Small, well-kept place and food cooked with love, wisdom and deep knowledge of raw materials, of the territory first and foremost. Inclusive cuisine: in the menu from appetizer to dessert there are land, sea and plant-based options (ok the dessert was not fish-based 😄).

In un mondo che corre veloce, questo ristorante è una piccola oasi dove il tempo sembra rallentare per lasciare spazio al piacere delle cose fatte bene. Un posto dove si torna — e si ritorna ancora — sempre con il sorriso. Andrea e Carlotta, i titolari, sono molto più che dei ristoratori: sono amabili padroni di casa che riescono a farti sentire ospite speciale ogni volta.

Un enorme grazie al locale Tre Cipolle Sul Comò per la straordinaria pazienza e disponibilità! Il 14 maggio avevamo prenotato per un pranzo alle 14, ma a causa di una seduta di dottorato che si è protratta ben oltre l’orario previsto, siamo riusciti ad arrivare solo alle 17… con un gruppo di 25 persone! Nonostante l’assurdo ritardo, ci hanno aspettato con gentilezza e ci hanno comunque accolto con un sorriso e tanta (tantissima!!) comprensione, permettendoci di pranzare senza farci sentire alcun disagio. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo: piatti curati, gustosi e abbondanti. Il locale è particolare, curato nei dettagli, e i proprietari sono davvero eccezionali, accoglienti, pazienti e genuini (...potrei continuare all'infinito). Consiglio vivamente Tre Cipolle Sul Comò a chiunque voglia sentirsi coccolato come a casa, in un ambiente familiare dove il buon cibo e la cortesia fanno davvero la differenza. Wonderful staff, very welcoming place with wonderful writings on the walls, located in a quiet area of ​​Rende but well connected. As for the dishes, I can say that I had the pleasure of tasting very high quality products and incredibly tasty and unconventional dishes. I really appreciated the owners' choice to offer a seasonal menu that offers a wide choice, which is why I was lucky, as a vegetarian, to finally eat in a place that also offers excellent dishes without meat or fish, different from the usual ones that can be found everywhere. Also high quality wines and beers. I will be back!
