I am a lover of boiled meat, I came specifically to celebrate my birthday from Lucca together with my wife. We had a wonderful time both in terms of welcome, professionalism and excellent food, the owner at the time of dessert offered us an excellent high quality sparkling wine and after paying the bill which was not at all expensive I had a bottle of Nebbiolo as a gift.
I highly recommend it, it's worth the trip.

for years and years we promised ourselves we would return but distance, motherhood and the usual things prevented us.
today, returning from Provence, we took advantage and detoured towards Carrù before returning to Milan.

We spent the Easter weekend in the Langhe. In Carrù we slept two nights at the Vascello d'oro: spacious room with everything you need; perhaps it would have been more convenient to find a hairdryer with a little more power in the bathroom. Large parking nearby.
In the evening we had dinner at the restaurant, ordering boiled meat and its sauces: everything was excellent!! The service and the bill were also excellent.

Carru is the capital of bollito! We have already tested two other restaurants. We've been wanting to try Vascello d'oro for a long time. We are not disappointed. The tradition is perfectly respected. It's excellent: the meats are softer, the accompaniment is a little different (extra onions). Nothing to say. As for wine, it was perfect too: a very very good house nebbiolo and only 22 euros (we were even able to buy some). Go there with your eyes closed but book in advance

Ristorante storico nella patria del bollito. Abbiamo pranzato con antipasto piemontese e bevuto un ottimo nebbiolo. A cena invece il bollito con le sue salse sempre accompagnato da un ottimo vino, abbiamo fatto il bis!
Veramente ottimo e personale gentilissimo, ottimo il bonnet e la torta di nocciola.

Menù degustazione composto da antipasti tipicamente piemontesi, ravioli con sugo di bue, carrello del bollito e tris di dolci, il tutto per 40 € poi bisogna aggiungere coperto e caffè.
Gli antipasti buoni, molto buona la battuta... i ravioli buoni, il tanto decantato bollito l'ho trovato un pò anonimo, buono si, ma non eccellente!
Il servizio buono e super veloce, forse un filo troppo veloce...
Sinceramente mi aspettavo di meglio!!!
