A few weeks ago, a friend and I went there. The food was very good, as was the location. But I can't say the same about the staff. They were extremely rude and indifferent. We thought we could learn something about Afghan culture and ask questions. We tried to communicate, but no one smiled. I gave one star for the location and the food, but unfortunately I can't say the same for the staff. I thank the chefs for their hard work.

A cute place with minimal but well-designed decor. I recommend experimenting with the appetizers, as they are very unique and varied. The house wine is very good and I recommend it.

We've been loyal customers for several years now. My husband stumbled upon this place by chance; I didn't know this restaurant existed in Bologna. It's a lovely place, with excellent food and generous portions. The owner is incredibly kind and courteous, a rare gem these days. I highly recommend a visit.

I've known and eaten at Kabulagna for years now, and I must say it has never disappointed me. It's one of the few restaurants where you truly feel at home, with an atmosphere that immediately transports you to the roots of what Afghanistan truly is: a country steeped in ancient culture, but above all, good food. I never tire of going to Kabulagna, and I always want to return. I especially recommend the zardak palaw, morgh palaw, hummus, and falafel. They also have tons of vegan and vegetarian options. They're also very open to offering gluten-free options (I'm speaking as a celiac), and I've never had any problems: they're very careful about cross-contamination. The food is high-quality and worth the price. A well-deserved 5 stars.

17/01/2026: If, like me, you're only in Bologna for one night, come to dinner at Vecchia Bottega and fill up on delicious food, excellent wine, and lovely people! Not knowing what to choose, I ventured a request, which was greeted with a smile. I came for the tagliatelle, and then I ordered a platter, two first courses, and dessert. Everything was excellent, like home-made, but even better because the atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful. Even though I was alone, I felt like I was part of the whole place. The tiramisu is special. My week of Italian vacation ends beautifully and sweetly!

29/04/2026: The place where we initially wanted to eat was full. There are so many eateries in the center of Bologna that we went for a walk and read the reviews for every single one. This one had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. There was a spot available, but in an odd seating area with a small set of steps in a corner. The benches were uncomfortable. They could have placed cushions there, but it was also situated separately, above the rest of the place. Nevertheless, we gave it a try. The service was very helpful and friendly. They also spoke English. There was spontaneous live piano music, played by one of the guests, I think. We had, among other things: focaccina barese, babaganoush, lasagna (vegetarian), and pollo al curry. The vegetarian lasagna was disappointing: it contained so much chicory that it tasted very bitter. As far as I'm concerned, they can remove that dish from the menu. The chicken curry, on the other hand, was fine. The prices were reasonable. The restaurant is located in a neighborhood with a lot of graffiti, which actually created a nice atmosphere. You could also sit outside. All in all, a nice, informal place with a good vibe.
28/04/2026: Great atmosphere and drinks.. my favourite place in Bologna!
