Trattoria Stella In Masone

This is an oasis of good food and service. It is definitely worth a trip just to experience the cuisine of 2 young chefs that have previously worked in Michelin star restaurants and decided to open a restaurant back at home.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. Real cuisine, you eat well. Very nice service. Warm and modern room, everything new and in step with the times. Excellent price quality. You feel good, you enjoy a nice lunch or dinner and you appreciate the efforts and commitment of a young management that wants to do well.

Dinner with friends, positive aspects, very pleasant environment, essential but well-finished mise en place, even if I would have preferred a tablecloth rather than placemats, high quality food with careful preparation. Negative sides, portions of the second courses not adequate for the cost, waiting times between courses at the limit and position of the table too close to the entrance, despite having booked well in advance. Excellent quality cuisine, refined without overdoing it. Kindness and helpfulness. Not exactly cheap (the name "tavern" could lead to some misunderstandings...) but, overall, it's okay.

As soon as we left after having dinner, everything was really excellent, both the food and the environment, congratulations to everyone 😊

We had dinner in this tavern (which honestly has nothing of an tavern) towards the end of August. Nice and welcoming internal room, external porch NO! Adjacent to the road, overlooking a lawn full of "scrap" and junk which obviously does not depend on the place even if it could be remedied with a side cover. Menu a little too limited, they didn't have meat main courses, only fresh fish... in Masone? Good average food, prices too expensive, 2 starters, 3 first courses, 4 fried fish, a bottle of white wine for €19, 3 cokes, 2 coffees for a total of €210. Three waiters who serve you, plus the chef who plates the fried food at the table from a pan, all very scenic, it's a shame that the wine was brought hot and without glasses and that two people dined without a napkin for the whole evening and no one noticed he noticed it. For these prices I expected something better both in terms of food and, above all, service. I give three stars of encouragement because the good foundations are there.
