I had always heard good things about this place and in fact my expectations were not disappointed. The place is small, about 25 seats, but very welcoming and pleasantly furnished. Ciro, owner and chef, is a very friendly person, nice but not intrusive, very attentive to his customers. The seafood dishes are traditional, but perfectly made, furthermore the portions are rather generous compared to average. Prices are extremely competitive.

So... it is one of the most popular places in Latina, so much so that it filled me with expectations and made me decide to book a table. So, where to start? From the positive things. Good frying, made "pleasurable" by a mix of flours and a... secret aroma... which gives it a "vanilla" feel. It's a shame that the breading comes off the fish, which is also very fresh. Well, the fish is certainly very fresh but, at least in the paccheri alla pescatora... it's chaotic, full of bits and pieces like diced. I think the risotto had an overcooking problem... it was too loose. Desserts only almond chunks. De Cecco paccheri on display (I would understand displaying a Gragnano DOP but a commercial brand...). What to say in conclusion? The feeling on leaving is that of when you win 5 euros on a scratch card that cost you 5 euros. I will return trusting that it was not a very successful day.
