Trattoria San Lorenzo In Firenze

Giovanni, one of the staff members at the trattoria, was so professional, attentive, and friendly that we decided to visit twice. The excellent service makes this establishment stand out. Again, thank you so much, Giovanni, for making us feel so welcome.

On the first day of my trip to Florence, I chose this restaurant for dinner out of several Tuscan restaurants. I arrived around 7pm on Sunday, January 4th, so there was no wait. I started off by ordering lasagna, ribollita, and peposo (beef stewed in red wine). Honestly, every dish was some of the best I've ever eaten. The seasonings were simple, yet had a hint of spice, giving it the feel of comforting local cuisine. The atmosphere of the staff also matched perfectly with the food and the interior of the restaurant, so I was very satisfied. I had planned to buy desserts from another street-side shop before returning to the hotel, but I thought it would be a shame not to try them at such a delicious restaurant, so I ordered tiramisu to finish. It was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely visit this restaurant again.

This is the best restaurant where you can enjoy Tuscan cuisine. The lasagna was particularly delicious, but I was impressed by every other dish. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was good. I would definitely visit again if I come to Florence again.

My husband and I I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant and can absolutely say it was our favorite meal in Florence, the food was so delicious (the carbonara changed me!) and the wait staff made us feel so at home and welcomed. We loved it so much we came back two days later. Lots of locals and people from the region which is so appealing for us when we travel. Such a hidden gem! The lower level window seats are so cozy and we made friends with the people who dined next to us on New Year’s Eve just simply because we all were so happy and knew we were in such special company.

We stumbled upon this trattoria by chance, and it was a wonderful discovery! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is truly excellent, and the service impeccable. Special thanks to Mattia for his kindness and helpfulness. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! For those who want to appreciate authentic Florentine cuisine! Steak is the house specialty. (I recommend the fillet.)

We booked near the end of lunch service and managed to get a table for 5 people. We waited a little while but the table was ready and the food was excellent. It's a shame they don't have limoncello, but the lamb was superb, as were the filet mignon, the ravioli, and the lasagna. Our family was very well received during these December 2025 holidays.

We had dinner here with the whole family. A truly excellent restaurant: pleasant atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, delicious cuisine. The ingredients are extremely fresh, the recipes are carefully prepared and well-balanced. A very pleasant experience in every way. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I visited this restaurant two nights in a row, and we were both truly satisfied: the atmosphere is very welcoming and intimate, and the staff is qualified, friendly, kind, cordial, and accommodating. We ate typical dishes that were delicious and succulent, in portions just right to satisfy our appetites. Furthermore, the desserts were also top-notch. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat well at an excellent value for money.
