Not a very large but very nice restaurant, with attentive and friendly staff. We had two meat menus, both very good. Pasta with chickpeas was excellent, and the orecchiette with meatballs were also delicious. The dishes were generous and good quality at a more than fair price!! Really, congratulations! 👏

First time at Trattoria San Carlino, in the heart of the historic center. The atmosphere is pleasantly rustic and familiar. We tried both a meat and seafood menu, plus desserts to finish. All the dishes were excellently prepared, with visibly fresh, high-quality ingredients. A truly pleasant experience. The owners and staff are extremely kind and courteous, and the service is fast and accurate! We will definitely return to try other dishes from their extensive menu.

I stumbled upon this trattoria while strolling along the pedestrian street in Lecce's historic center, and I'm so glad I trusted my instincts rather than the reviews. The €18 "land" menu is a great option (there's also a "sea" menu): the chickpea pasta starter, a typical Apulian specialty, was a real treat and very generous portion. The only slight downside was the grilled chicken, which was a bit dry and thin, cooked more like a pork chop, but the fries were perfectly crispy. I also ordered a tiramisu. The owner was very welcoming and made the effort to explain the dishes in French, and the young waitress provided friendly and efficient service. All in all, €22—the best value for money of my trip to Puglia. I highly recommend it.

A very warm welcome despite the late hour (2:30 pm). The vaulted dining room was inviting, the pizzas were good, the house red wine was very decent, the prices were really reasonable, and the service was attentive and multilingual. What more could you ask for? 12/1/2025
