Trattoria Ristorante Tarello In Roppolo

Restaurant. The boss is not into seduction in fact. But he speaks French. The cuisine is quality. The wine is good. The setting is nice. We really liked it and the pattern matches the decor. In fact, we like these authentic people who do their job! And they do it well.

Perfect service, delicious dishes at a fair price.

Beautiful restaurant, both outside as inside, very cosy and tastfull decorated. The food was good, all courses. Too bad that the service was bad. We had reserved the dinner at 19:30 and arrived at that time but we had to wait then for 20 minutes and sat in front of the bar before we were asked to enter the diningroom, without any explanation. Furthermore, the service during the diner was good in taking the orders and executing them, but it totally lack in any kind of friendliness or giving pro active any explanation. Overall for us, notwithstanding the quality of the food, we decided it to leave it with this one visit.

Excellent dinner, plentiful and affordable prices.

Good evening. The boss may seem a bit bearish but we didn't find him unpleasant. He made the effort to speak to us in French. The meal was good and the little courtyard was very pleasant. The white wine was also very good.

Good dinner and excellent view of the lake

During the Cammino di Oropa we booked to have dinner at this restaurant. Being hungry we showed up exactly at the time the service started, 7.45pm. The owner welcomes us and explains the formula for pilgrims but leaves us free to also evaluate the à la carte menu (which was very inviting, with typical Piedmontese dishes). We opt for the pilgrim's fixed menu with a first course, second course with side dish, water, wine (produced by the owner, delicious) and coffee. While we wait, the Piedmontese bread and breadsticks arrive, delicious and tasty. In the meantime the place fills up with customers and pilgrims. Since only the owner was present in the room, the service was slowed down but, having arrived among the first, we easily managed to finish dinner. I agree about being patient a little but it's worth it. Delicious well cooked dishes. The whitefish was delicious and perfectly clean! I'm sorry for the negative reviews, some of them are too harsh in my opinion. The staff can be seen to be trying hard and committed to providing a sincere and home-made service, even to those who are probably passing through only once in their life. Thank you so much for this experience!

We went here for lunch to take a break during the Oropa walk. The place is very nice and intimate, certainly cool given the sultry days of this summer. The food was also very good, especially the veal with tuna sauce, the fantastic sauce top marks. The agnolotti were also good although I've tried better ones. Service quite friendly and fast. Prices, in my opinion, very high, especially the first ones. I recommend it to pilgrims who want to have a quick lunch without the classic sandwich.

I congratulate the group of friends who had dinner last night at Stefano Tarello, a rustic but nice place, friendly welcome as if we had known each other for a long time, not to mention the excellent and plentiful food, I recommend everyone to visit us for an evening joyful and cheerful we will be back soon

Much enjoyed dinner with polenta and tripe, thanks also to the excellent home-produced wine. Prices more than reasonable.
