We stopped just for a coffee after a lovely stroll along the riverbank. The informal, rustic atmosphere is reminiscent of a mountain refuge, but at ground level.

Maybe for the locals it will be special but leaving to travel more than a hundred kilometers is not so much. The food of a trattoria is the only positive note: the eel is very good, the rest is normal.

It's an old-fashioned trattoria, with a very rustic feel—wood on the walls, wooden beams on the ceiling, and unpretentious furnishings. The atmosphere is one of tranquility and warmth, reminiscent of peasant families of the past.
The owner, also rustic and a little rough in his manner, blends in perfectly with the surrounding environment, which seems to belong together. The owner's seemingly rough exterior is merely a facade, probably part of the game he plays with his guests, but inside, you can tell he's a very good person, especially from the way he addressed my son.
The dishes are all homemade, and you can taste the difference. We had the tagliolini with sea bass, capers, and olives, and they were delicious. The becco d'asino, which is stewed eel, was sensational, tender as butter, melting in your mouth, with a sauce that I finished a basket of bread to mop up the sauce with!
The fried fish was also incredibly tender and delicious. The Pinot Blanc, even though it was on tap, almost moved me when I washed my mouth after finishing the eel.

I showed up at 12:30 without a reservation. I was on my bike, and I asked if they could serve me something to eat. They very kindly sat me down and took my reservation right away (ten other people had arrived). I had lunch in half an hour. Strozzapreti with crab (good but not exceptional) and fried Paranza (I think the best I've ever eaten).
I recommend it to anyone who happens to be near the valley.
I'll definitely be back.
