Trattoria Primaro In Ravenna

Trattoria Primaro is a hidden restaurant for fish lovers. I've known the restaurant for a long time, but unfortunately haven't gotten around to writing a review until now. I think "Trattoria Primaro" is an excellent restaurant, and I always enjoy coming back for the delicious fish and seafood. There's only a small menu, as many dishes are freshly prepared and therefore vary depending on the day, so it's worth checking out the daily specials. I particularly recommend the fritto misto and the lemon sorbet. The mussels are also excellent. However, without knowledge of Italian or a translator, communication is limited. The owner is very nice, even if he might not seem so. Reservations are recommended on weekends.

At the Primaro restaurant you eat excellently, everything is excellent and the fish is fresh and cooked to perfection, I highly recommend it. The owner is not gruff and "differently accommodating" as his framed t-shirt in the restaurant says.

I stopped by for lunch and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise... A wonderful and exquisite fried food accompanied by a soute of peppered mussels, another exquisite dish, I will definitely come back to visit them to try the eel and frogs.

Trattoria created in an old farmhouse on the banks of the Reno river, typical lagoon menu with eel and frogs, these to order, which are the masters, rustic interior in line with the surrounding environment, excellent cuisine with an excellent quality/price ratio, if we were to happen to be in the area again we would definitely try again.

In this trattoria (certainly historic as well as ancient) it seems to dive into a pleasantly unexpected atmosphere, perhaps, of the Romagna of many decades ago. I think it has been renovated a bit but that aura of antiquity and history is still there, and this is also what makes this place fantastic and with a charm all its own. The environment is basic and "raw" but unexpectedly welcoming (in its own way), there is no luxury, here we are "light years" away from modernity. (it seems like a world apart) The person who runs it (or the owner, I don't know) seems to have the "reputation" of being "grumpy" but, at the end of the day, he is simply a man who probably has many years of work experience and has lived many experiences in the work environment and in having seen, in fact, many and innumerable customers (perhaps not always easy to manage) but he doesn't seem to me at all an unpleasant person but nice (in his own way) and in any case very professional; his collaborators are also good. My friends and I ate really well. What I had was all exquisite, sublime, there is nothing to say. I ate everything (I would have eaten the dish too) and I gave my compliments. (well deserved.) The environment, the place and the location (both internal and external) is really "spartan" but really very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend booking well in advance. I come from far away but I would gladly return here.

Excellent seafood restaurant! Mussels tarantina style very tasty, perfect pasta and crispy and light fried food. The eel, really delicious. Friendly service and pleasant environment. We will definitely be back!

We stopped today to eat while we were passing through with the camper despite the bad reviews about the owner that we absolutely did not let ourselves be influenced by because everyone has their own experience that can differ greatly from those of others. We are two with a big dog and we were all welcomed ... the food more than excellent, the grilled eel was delicious and the mixed grill too. The ginger bitter made by the owner was a tasty surprise. For us it was all 10 and surely when we are in the area we will repeat the experience ....
