Food was very authentic, high quality. Location has a beautiful view of the lake. Close to a nice hiking path. Service was a bit slow but they were very kind.

Pappardelle with mushrooms spectacular, everything good, but the pappardelle were on another level. Wait a bit long at the beginning, but once we started, the times were shortened. Price in line with the offer. View of the lake that deserves the meal on the terrace (there is also a veranda).

Really nice place but unfortunately I have to say that it has changed, the food is no longer of high quality, the prices are expensive, terrible quality/price ratio, a series of senseless dishes, pasta with cheese and pepper, second courses are Apulian bombetta skewers, the starter is nothing special, 3 types of cured meats no longer accompanied by hot and fragrant fried gnocco but by a reheated focaccia apart from two pickles all for 15 euros, I took the casoncelli with butter and sage the latter did not arrive, tasteless and chewy filling, very thick and overcooked pasta, not to mention the cover charge 2.50 euros each, a jug of water with a half-erased writing 2 euros, we also tried the shin and polenta, the shin seemed boiled and even rawer in the centre, the tasteless polenta, at the end coffee first pampered by biscuits now alone with a very small chocolate bill not adequate.

A good restaurant, tasty and plentiful dishes, the service is a little slow, but leaves time to enjoy the splendid view (I recommend going even just for that). The place is large and bright, I recommend booking if you want to eat on the veranda to fully enjoy the view

We went to Trattoria Portole on a spring Sunday, attracted by the reputation of the place and the panoramic position. The cuisine was good overall, with well-executed dishes and quality ingredients. We ordered the polenta gnocchi with wild boar salmì, the pappardelle with porcini mushrooms and the venison stew with polenta. All courses consistent with the tradition of the area, tasty and well cooked, even if without distinctive flashes. A kitchen that does its duty, without surprises. However, the service compromised the experience. Far too quick, bordering on hasty. Dishes served one after the other without pauses, immediate collection of crockery and attention more oriented towards the rotation of tables than towards the well-being of the customer. We were left with the clear feeling of not really being welcome, as if the priority was to get us to finish the meal as soon as possible. Although we had booked well in advance, explicitly asking for a table on the veranda overlooking the lake, we were assigned a seat in an internal corner from which the lake was completely invisible. No explanation, no attempt to accommodate the request. It seemed like an intentional choice. An unpleasant disservice, especially considering that we came from far away to also enjoy the landscape aspect of the place. In summary: good but unmemorable food, too hasty service, inattentive welcome.

Good meat, spectacular view and friendliness

Cozy and spacious room with stunning views of the lake. The staff very courteous and professional. Impeccable service. Simple but refined cuisine and the dishes we ate satisfied us fully. Even if the road to reach the place is a bit tortuous, it is worth going there.

The taste and the view are amazing! The way to the restaurant is great!!

Christmas lunches...excellent food...very friendly staff...lovely place...pity it closes from January 1st
