We ate more than well, with a friendly waiter who made us feel at ease, but also apologized for the fact that many dishes were not available because they had just reopened from holidays. I hope to return.

Defines authentic culinary Rome. Roman experience cannot be complete without a meal (or 5) at Polese. A magical blend of local and come by chance tourist clientele assures authenticity and quality. This is not a trattoria that caters exclusively to tourists, operating on a "serve and forget" model so common adjacent to Romes many attractions. Polese is just far enough from the main attractions to remain focused on serving repeat (local) clientele, but close enough to be accessible (both in geography and service) to visitors. It is everything a trattoria should be; top quality food, service, ambiance and priced to both make a profit and respect the customer. In a city now too often defined by a system of exploitative tourists and services, this is an oasis.

Well received, the service is ultra-fast, the place is very touristy but at the same time with a very local touch, it's very good and the prices are very competitive! Go there with your eyes closed! 🍕

Wonderful dinner for our last night in Rome. This restaurant came highly recommended by friends/locals and did not disappoint. We were welcomed like family, had a great table under the trees, food and drink were excellent, and everyone around us (some Americans and lots of Italians) was having just as good of a time. Great way to end our trip.
