A couple with extensive experience in restaurants and traditional Sassari cuisine run this excellent example of the local culinary offerings. In the Sassari hinterland, just 4-5 minutes from the sea, this well-maintained, family-run osteria boasts a small but welcoming location, a strong presence of local patrons, and zero-mile products in its DNA. It offers authentic seafood cuisine with very fair prices and generous portions. The house wine is excellent: a local Vermentino that rivals even the most prestigious bottles. The ingredients are excellent, and to round out the culinary offerings, a welcome Prosecco and a complimentary trio of Filu' e Ferru, Mirto, and Limoncello. In my personal opinion: it's unjustified to insist on eating at seaside restaurants in prestigious tourist destinations for cheap, mediocre food at a higher price.
