Trattoria Pizzeria La Lazzara In Napoli

This is one of those restaurants where after a dinner, you leave feeling that you must write them a review! I never believed in gg to a restaurant that has menu in many languages as i thought it is touristy (and usually not as good food) but la lazzara proved me wrong. Nice big portions (to hungry dinners like us!), very delicately cooked. Risotto was so favourful, octopus is soft and tender. The bacon in carbonara was still crispy. Home-styled vongole with a nice tomato twisted. We asked for dolce and the server came with a box of 9 desserts to introduce and let us choose. Wow! In limited english, we can still feel the warmth and humour from the team. Loved how local it was, having a table in the street..hehehe We had 4 mains (of which 2 are the more expensive dishes), a starter and a good bottle of wine, 2 dessert..the bill came up to just over 100 euros. One of the best meal we had in italy so far.

I was looking for a typical restaurant, but instead I came across a tourist restaurant. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The anchovies weren't very fresh, and I didn't like the batter they used to fry them. The pizza was quite good, but the dough was a bit heavy. Prices were average.

We had dinner at this restaurant on our first evening in Naples and were absolutely thrilled! The staff was in such a great mood, joking around with us, and despite the hustle and bustle and their obvious stress, they kept their good spirits the whole time! The food was excellent — so good, in fact, that we came back again a few days later. Also, the Wine was so delicious 🍷 We were completely delighted! Thank you for this great Experience:) ❤️
