It was our first day so we decided to have dinner a little earlier than is traditional for the city. The proprietor was super friendly and we had a lovely chat. The food was terrific. Everything was perfectly cooked and the sour cherry crostata was amazing! If you're in Rome, make a point of eating here.

Last night we ate an excellent mushroom platter. The ingredients were thin and perfectly balanced. The cooking was also perfect. Today for lunch, we had a delicious fillet steak with generous amounts of intensely fragrant, fresh porcini mushrooms, and perfectly cooked egg tagliatelle with abundant, wonderful porcini mushrooms. Very reasonable prices. The place is spotless and the aroma of good, high-quality Roman cuisine is palpable. Very cordial and cordial.

I highly recommend it! A wonderful place, a wonderful, incredibly kind owner, and the food is incredible! We tried pasta, pizza, seafood, focaccia, bruschetta, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious! We also tried the house white wine, which is slightly sparkling and also delicious. The owner is wonderful with children; despite the lack of juice on the menu, the restaurant owner arranged a juice box for my daughter and also treated her to freshly fried chocolate doughnuts, a la churros. As I leave Rome, I say goodbye to this place knowing I will definitely be back! Thank you ❤️

Years ago, I met Mimmo, now the owner of the trattoria pizzeria "Il Re della Carbonara," as he worked as a chef at another restaurant.
Meeting him in the Porta Pia area, I learned that he had taken over the restaurant around the turn of the summer, so I decided to visit him and try his dishes.
Regardless of our mutual acquaintance, he immediately proved, as in the past, welcoming and generous in suggesting and recommending what to try.
I trusted him, and everything went well, starting with the seafood appetizer, then moving on to the spaghetti allo scoglio, without forgetting to try, for a sweet finish, one of the house desserts, specifically the "Tiramisu," which, to my pleasant surprise, won over my palate with the harmonious, savory, and delicate flavors of the ingredients, perfectly blended together.
The seafood appetizer and spaghetti with seafood—what can I say? Simply authentic and succulent; the flavor of the sea reached the palate through the nose, breathing in the aroma that wafted from the dish.
I also fully appreciated the courtesy and expertise of all the staff, from Marco, the chef in charge of the kitchen, to the thoughtful and courteous waiters, and, of course, Mimmo, the new owner, motivated and inspiring with his courteous and professional manner.
I highly recommend the restaurant; it's definitely worth a try. Bruno

The food was delicious at this little trattoria in Rome, while visiting from Australia. We had a pizza and pasta and both were sensational, followed by delicious tiramisu and torte for dessert. The owner was so friendly and chatted with us, making it a lovely evening.
