Trattoria Pizzeria "da Gabriele" In Roma

Typical trattoria...checkered tablecloths, good wine, excellent food. They were so kind and friendly. I had the dish of the day, CHICKEN WITH PEPPERS, 10 out of 10. Everything was really good.

Last night I ate pizza 🍕, good, only for the very slow service, too much waiting.

Honestly, I had higher expectations from this "historic" place; a good platter of cold cuts and cheeses rather distant from an "anonymous and rather spongy" steak and a chicory over-sautéed in a preparation of oil with a very spicy pepper-chili flavor. Service was normal and the price was in line even if I was not satisfied at all. I'm sorry but we're not there!

A place that makes you feel like family, meeting long-time customers or those who come there often. Gabriele (the owner) treats you like one of the family without losing his professionalism. Nowadays it is not easy to find (in Rome) real trattorias (places like this are not easy to find). I recommend coming here so you can realize the value today The waiter is friendly and professional. Dishes in the right quantity, perhaps even abundant. Typical Roman dishes, excellent quality and prices perhaps a little lower than normal. Worth trying..... of course everything is subjective. Recognized by the Municipality of Rome as a "HISTORICAL" venue complete with certificate and medal 🏅
