It was probably very good once upon a time. I happened to see No Reservations in my Palermo research and the place was around the corner from where I’m staying… so curiosity took over. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Place was totally empty except for one table- who also saw the Anthony Bourdain episode. I was about to turn away, but the owner (must be) came outside and beckoned me in. I ordered the seafood pasta which LOOKED amazing, but the flavor was SO weird! Cilantro or mint? Very off-putting. And very salty. It was a big portion so I felt bad not eating most of it, but I couldn’t force it. Garlic bread was good though! And reasonable prices..!

Nice place. No vegetarian dishes. He left out the tuna in one dish but charged the same price.

Kleine trattoria - sehr empfehlenswert. Eigentlich ein Muss in Palermo. Sehr nettes personal - und sehr zuvorkommend

With good appearance and well-kept dishes on a pleasant terrace, everything seems to be going well...but the pasta was very very "al dente", almost impossible. They don't have a credit card. Lights and shadows. Maybe we haven't been lucky.

Vaya, la comida estaba deliciosa. Nos aventuramos en esta trattoria del barrio que tuvo generaciones de servicio y tuvo la cena más increíble. El servicio fue bueno y amable. Pero el marisco iba a morir por él.

Vecchia Trattoria da Toto

15/03/2025: Family-run restaurant, with abundant dishes and excellent hospitality. Spaghetti alla Palermo absolutely worth trying. Well done and see you soon.
12/02/2025: The dishes were good but we were ripped off on the price. The total was different from what was displayed on the menu (difference of 6 euros, not much but still not correct). Afterwards the prices were also very reasonable or even low.
