This historic trattoria was recommended to us by the owner of the farmhouse where we were staying. The staff are friendly, the traditional dishes are delicious and plentiful, and the prices are fair. It's tucked away in a hidden alleyway, away from the tourist crowds (I even struggled with Gmaps), and I think this is a sure sign because it's frequented by locals or by word of mouth. The place was packed, and I recommend visiting the underground cellar (especially if you have children), of which I've attached a few photos.

January 5, 2026, dinner. A well-known trattoria in the center of Assisi; elegant yet convivial, expertly prepared dishes, prompt service, a good selection, including seasonal options. A delicious zuppa inglese. Reservations are essential.

08/12/2025: Yesterday, Sunday, around 3:00 PM, we were looking for a place that was open to eat and we came across this beautiful restaurant. A stunning veranda overlooking the center of Marsciano, with lots of plants and flowers on the walls. The waiter, despite the hour, welcomed us kindly. He served us a platter of cold cuts, warm bruschetta, and high-quality cheeses. Handmade tagliolini with white ragù and truffle shavings were a delicacy we will never forget. To finish, a sublime tiramisu by the glass. Such kindness and friendliness! Excellent quality/price ratio. We have saved it among our favorites, we want to return soon to discover the rest of the menu!

04/01/2026: A simple, unpretentious restaurant. We had pizzas, and they were very good. I recommend it, at least for the pizza.
