Trattoria Pallotta In Assisi

A wonderful place with a cozy atmosphere and stylish decor that blends local traditions, classics, and modernity. Traditional Umbrian cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, delicious food, and friendly, attentive service. A place where locals go, and that's saying a lot.

This historic trattoria was recommended to us by the owner of the farmhouse where we were staying. The staff are friendly, the traditional dishes are delicious and plentiful, and the prices are fair. It's tucked away in a hidden alleyway, away from the tourist crowds (I even struggled with Gmaps), and I think this is a sure sign because it's frequented by locals or by word of mouth. The place was packed, and I recommend visiting the underground cellar (especially if you have children), of which I've attached a few photos.

A historic restaurant in the center of Assisi, in a secluded and very pleasant location. I returned after three years and was very pleased with both the service and the quality of the food. I believe this category of historic, family-run restaurants that perpetuate local culinary traditions is a value we must preserve and cherish like a precious gem amidst the otherwise identical and soulless restaurants. Here, the atmosphere is still clean, with staff who welcome you with a warm smile and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The bill is also good value for the quality of the experience. One small point: perhaps the acoustics could be improved, as if there are several tables nearby with people talking loudly, there can be a slight disturbance. A top-notch restaurant, highly recommended.
