A historic location in the center of Assisi. Attentive and kind staff. We ordered torte al testo with Norcia ham, pappardelle with ragù, strangozzi alla pallotta and to finish the typical Rocciata di Assisi dessert. Everything excellent, generous portions. Good value for money.

It should be noted that, on the advice of a hotelier, I tried to eat in this restaurant twice. The first time they didn't let me sit and they rejected me, telling me that the kitchen closed at 9.30pm, even though there were still a lot of people dining and waiting to be served. On the second attempt, they seat us and we have dinner peacefully. All good, excellent strangozzi and generous portions. Ok the location. However, I was very disappointed with both the cutting board and the text cake, the only discordant notes. The cutting board was quite poor and barely enough for one person. In my opinion, the price of the cutting board does not correspond at all to either the quantity or the quality of the dish.

It is not the first time we are in Assisi, but previously it has always been difficult to find a place in this place, we finally managed it and it was worth it. We ate very well, tasting a bit of everything, even some starters that were not exactly traditional Umbrian (like an excellent chickpea couscous). The tagliatelle with sauce and the lamb are really very good. The place is very nice, in a historic building with a frescoed ceiling. The staff is always attentive and caring towards the customer. Good quality - price ratio

We had dinner here during our stay in Assisi and had a great time. The place is easily accessible as it is right in the center. The staff was very friendly and the food fantastic!

bel locale nel centro di Assisi, facilmente raggiungibile. personale cordiale e bella atmosfera. Abbiamo mangiato bene e pagato il giusto. Piatti ben curati e buona qualità, consiglio la rocciata fatta in casa

nascosta sotto la volta di una viuzza adiacente la piazza del comune, questa osteria offre ancora il meglio della cucina locale. me la ricordavo con un miglior rapporto qualità/prezzo, ma senza dubbio resta un buon riferimento gastromico in un luogo particolarmente turistico e, pertanto, molto a rischio... menzione particolare va alla rocciata, che ho potuto degustare appena sfornata. sublime.

Osteria le civette

22/07/2024: Ho trovato questo ristorante ottimo sotto tutti gli aspetti. Innanzi tutto la posizione; nella bella stagione si può scegliere tra le sale interne, fresche e luminose, ed i tavoli lungo i camminamenti medievali, una singolare stradina sotto antiche volte che si affacciano sul paesaggio circostante. L'accoglienza è gentile e sollecita; il menù non troppo ampio ma con scelte sapientemente diversificate fa in modo di accontentare un po' tutti i gusti. Anche le preparazioni sono un equilibrato mix tra il tradizionale e l'originale; le porzioni non eccessive permettono di gustare più portate. Tutti i piatti ordinati erano molto buoni, con una menzione speciale per gli antipasti. E' bene prenotare, ho visto che il ristorante è conosciuto e frequentato. Ultimo ma non ultimo una toilette impeccabile. I prezzi sono in linea con la qualità offerta.
09/07/2024: We were traveling through Citerna on the Way of St. Francis for a night and this was our only option for dinner. We are so glad we went! The location is historic and charming. The service is welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing. Some of the best these New Yorkers have had in our Italian travels. Try the ravioli with rabbit ragu and/or the roasted guinea fowl. Excellent!
