Over the years, I have had very mixed experiences in this restaurant. Overall, the food is pretty nice, though the wait is always very long. Dont go there if you are in a hurry. Also staff could be a little nicer/ sympathetic when refusing customers without bookings. Maybe they feel they don’t have to make an effort because they are mentioned in every guidebook and their address is very central? In any case, there are better restaurants in Assisi and you may get a better welcome elsewhere so do keep that in mind.

Decent food compared to other places in Assisi or the area. Friendly staff, but I have to judge based on experience: we ordered two first courses and two second courses. The first courses arrived, and without asking, they told us the side dishes would be arriving shortly. Neither the side dishes nor the second courses arrived. And they gave us no discount. I repeat: friendly, but a disappointing experience.

On a Friday evening in February, the restaurant was the only bright spot in Assisi, which at 7:00 PM felt like a ghost town. Various dishes (lemon cannelloni, etc.) were served using local ingredients. Some concerns about the desserts, which were prepared in the center of the room and kept in a cabinet...

Recommended by a shopkeeper in Assisi, and indeed, it was a truly indulgent meal. Excellent first courses and spectacular rabbit: it reminded me of my grandmother's. The bill was fair, and deserved a generous tip.
