Trattoria Pallotta In Assisi

Had an outstanding dining experience at Trattoria Pallot. Our reservation (recommended) was 7:30; we were warmly greeted and seated in the lovely interior and atmosphere. This is noted as a slow food experience, so we weren't in a rush! Our table of 4 ordered; Chicken Mediterranean (on special), ravioli with artichoke, 'cod' meatballs, and sausage with caramelized onion. All absolutely delicious. Half carafaes of the house red and white wines completed our meals perfectly. Plus desserts. We would absolutely recommend this establishment when visiting Assisi.

The food was good and unpretentious, I'd say honest. The atmosphere was nice and refined, perfect for a quiet dinner. The service, however, was rather slow: over 25 minutes passed from when we were seated to when we could order, and in the meantime, tables that arrived after us were served. This is an area that needs improvement in terms of organization and professionalism. The owner, however, was very kind and friendly.

Trattoria Pallotta is a classic restaurant in Assisi and Umbria. Located in the center of Assisi, to reach it you must pass through a beautiful 16th-century arch called Volta Pinta. The frescoes of the arch are featured on the menu cover. The building is entirely made of stone. A highlight was the area where we sat, near the window with a watercolor painting by Master Carli, offering a view of the window. The meal follows the classic sequence: appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and coffee. I tried the meat cappellacci; to my palate, the honey overpowered the taste of the meat. For dessert, I ordered the (wonderful) rocciatta di Assisi, a crispy pastry with apple and spices in a light cream served with strawberries. The service was all female, the suckling pig was excellent, as was the appetizer platter. Excellent!

This delightful gem is tucked away just below the cathedral on the main square. Please do the extra work to find it! The hospitality is warm and gracious. The food is delicious and locally sourced, and the prices very reasonable. Eating here was a highlight of our stay in Assisi.

A well-organized birthday lunch with fast, helpful service. All seasonal dishes were excellently prepared. The supplí were divine!

Fantastic experience! We arrived on a Saturday evening for dinner without a reservation, and even though the restaurant was packed, the staff went out of their way to find us a table. A rare welcome: they were incredibly friendly and professional despite the crowds. The service was truly spectacular, fast, and attentive to every detail. The food? Simply superb. I highly recommend the meat cappellacci with pecorino di fossa cheese, acacia honey, and poppy seeds: an incredible balance of flavors. The suckling pig in porchetta with roast potatoes was also delicious. A special thank you to all the staff for their helpfulness. We'll definitely be back!

Professionalism and courtesy, quality products. With the open kitchen, you can appreciate the great harmony between the kitchen staff and the dining room staff, resulting in results that are rare. Well done.

Even though we arrived quite late, we were served very well, the food was excellent, especially the "seasonal" dishes.
