The culatello is beyond excellent, the eel and catfish are fried, dry and crispy, the Sbrisolona is amazing, and the homemade nocino liqueur is just like at your aunt's house. Go there, it's fantastic!

Excellent local cuisine. I recommend the cured meats, especially the culatello, and the exquisite first courses: cappelletti in brodo, ravioli with herbs and ricotta. The slightly sparkling white wine is delicious. Finish off your meal with a spoon dessert, the recipe of which is the Signora's secret.

Just steps from Verdi's house, this trattoria near the river and surrounded by greenery has existed for over a century and boasts a historic location that has remained unchanged over the years, as has the kitchen, where everything is homemade by Giuliano. The house specialties are their culatello, cannelloni, semifreddo and above all the fried catfish and eel, all exceptional dishes that are accompanied by local wines. The service is very well managed and friendly.

How can you write something about this trattoria... How can you rate the food and the trattoria... The place exudes time gone by and great delicacies served with simplicity... I came here specifically for the fried eel, I ordered a portion for two... Culatello Burro di Sopramento and Tortelli.... Grandma's stuff, but the good ones.... The eel is something mythical, out of time... Too exaggeratedly good.... Next time, catfish... No one can judge L'Ongina, it is the trattoria par excellence, like it or not... And the weather, the cicadas, and the heat can get over it, L'Ongina is for refined palates...

10/11/2025: A simple yet charming setting, where you can enjoy excellent river fish fried to perfection. The torta fritta (fried fish cake) is among the best I've ever tasted, and the cured meats are excellent. All this is topped off with the extremely helpful and friendly service.
