I had the pleasure of having lunch at Trattoria Ongina and I was enchanted. This restaurant is a real time machine, which takes you back to when trattorias were authentic and genuine. The highlight is undoubtedly the fried eel, which I had never tried before and which turned out to be a delicious discovery. So much so that we ordered a second portion! The semifreddo as dessert concluded the meal perfectly. Another positive note is that, just 10 minutes away on foot, there is a lake immersed in a small natural park, perfect for a post-lunch walk.

about 50 years ago, as a child, my father took me to eat catfish and eel at this restaurant. Today I went back with my mother and my wife. everything seems the same to me. Excellent cured meats, unfortunately catfish and eel fried with too much oil but the cake is as I remembered it. Beautiful. if they changed the oil more often I would gladly travel the 60 km that separate me from this very characteristic place

18/10/2024: I've happened to eat here on my lunch break a few times and every now and then even on Saturdays when they have events featuring typical Piacenza cuisine, I've always had a good time. Helpful and courteous staff, good dishes and prices in line with the competition.

22/08/2024: Restaurant with a very suggestive view of all the hills. Little choice on the menu but all excellent quality products. Service a little slow but there was only one waitress and that's okay. Very helpful and friendly staff. I was biased after reading the other reviews but they were all proven wrong once I arrived. I recommend going there at least once for a quiet, relaxing dinner outside the city
