Historic trattoria in the Florentine hills. Parking is often difficult to find given the scarcity in the area. The atmosphere is pleasant and refined, serving a wide variety of Florentine specialties, including fried foods and traditional pasta dishes. Portions are slightly below average. Extensive selection of local and international wines. Friendly service, but the bill is slightly pricey, likely due to the historic atmosphere and location.

I rarely give 5 stars: this place deserves them all, without a doubt. For those who have never been there (like me before this sublime experience), you enter and feel like you're in a cured meats and cheese shop, but then you walk a few more meters and you're in the dining room, where the extremely kind and attentive staff makes you feel at home, suggesting—if you ever had any doubts!—what to eat. Needless to say, I had a bruschetta with chicken livers for my first course and then a huge Florentine steak, which I attacked with its phenomenal meatiness. I don't even remember if I had dessert, considering I drank some sublime wines (red and white)! I'm not bragging, but I love good food: I would have put up a tent and camp bed at the entrance, and if I'd had more time, I would have stayed there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 10 days!

I was there on Sunday, October 19th for a birthday. Great location and excellent food. Fast and efficient service. Definitely worth returning.

My family and I recently traveled to Italy and went to Omero for Dinner. Everyone ordered a different meal and it was all amazing. The staff was amazing and the food was exquisite. If you go around the sunset hour you will be able to catch one of the most beautiful sunsets in Florence. JUST GO...its worth it.

Very delicious food served by a friendly, knowledgeable staff. A bit outside of Florence, but the view and ambiance is worth the trip.

Who do they have in the kitchen? The evening we were there, the food was nothing special at all. In fact, there were items that were not that great even. Most disturbing, we paid $172 USD for two people.

On a whim, my husband and I decided to dine here on our last night in Italy. The food was spectacular! We had penne ragu, steak topped with mixed berries, seasonal vegetables and for dessert, biscotti and dolce vino with pannacotta followed by grappa. We ate everything family-style and had a wonderful evening. We highly recommend Trattoria Omero and will revisit unpon our next return to Toscana. Bravo!
