A stunning place with a relaxing atmosphere. We sipped an excellent Prosecco of their own production while listening to the history of the family business. It was fascinating to discover what goes into each bottle. Impeccable service and genuine hospitality. We'll definitely be back to learn more about their vineyards!

Had a quick brunch the snacks were so so(did not like the salmon) the patato salty cake was very deliscious and the view made it even better..

One of the few authentic places in Treviso that truly deserves its name. Stepping inside takes you back in time and you savor shared memories, excellent wines, and fantastic cicchetti (paninetti especially!). The menu features about a dozen dishes with carefully crafted recipes and always fresh, local ingredients. The staff is welcoming and makes you feel at home! Highly recommended!

I'm Japanese, and even though I was alone, they welcomed me with extreme kindness. They let me wait until dinner time, right from the aperitivo hour. The Prosecco and the dishes were both delicious. In particular, the stewed calamari served over polenta was piping hot and truly warmed my heart. ​I've read some reviews about "cloudy water," but I don't believe they're capable of such a thing. On the contrary, the entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive to me!

A typical Treviso spot, a classic for aperitivo, with an outdoor terrace on the Isola delle Pescherie (Pescherie Island), one of the most beautiful spots in the city. Excellent cicchetti; I recommend the pear and gorgonzola, highly recommended.

Trattoria da Bandiera

18/04/2026: Rustic atmosphere, traditional cuisine, and above all, a very kind hostess! We were lucky enough to find ourselves there during a quiet moment, and she gave us a history lesson about the place. I recommend it!
23/03/2026: A trattoria in name, but not in spirit: an out-of-focus experience ​Rating: 3/5 ​Note on photographic documentation: It's my custom to accompany reviews with detailed shots. In this case, the initially well-kept appearance of the establishment misled me, leading me to neglect the visual documentation. The disappointment that developed during the evening, revealed through unsatisfactory looks and comments to the server, subsequently deprived me of any incentive to continue with the usual technical shots. ​The Context This assessment stems from the experience of three managers who meet each month at a different trattoria in northern Italy. Despite the kilometers traveled to meet us—one of us comes from Friuli, one from Jesolo, and the third from Trentino—the choice of Trattoria da Bandiera for our meeting on March 21, 2026, unfortunately proved to be an unfortunate one. With approximately 80 trattorias reviewed under our belt, the comparison is solid. The Atmosphere and Management The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and clean. However, perhaps coincidentally, but based on our experience, the complete lack of trained wait staff was striking. Service was managed exclusively by a single person, presumably the owner (the same person with whom we made the reservation weeks ago), which perhaps explains the inflexibility we encountered. On a Saturday evening, having only five total seats in the dining room speaks for itself. Drinks and Service The welcome left much to be desired in every respect. Drinks: Aperol Spritzes lacked any fizzy sparkle and were served in water glasses. The house Cabernet (a 1.5-liter jug) tasted oxidized, clearly decanted too many days ago. Communication Skills: When asked for a charcuterie board at the center of the table to start, the response was a haughty refusal: "We don't do that; order three separate appetizers." An approach that denies the very nature of the "Trattoria" concept. ​The Cuisine The portion sizes were calibrated with a starred restaurant aesthetic, but lacked the culinary substance. First courses: good choice and quality, but not quantity, about 3 forkfuls of tagliatelle. ​Second courses: the mixed cheese platter ("artisanal") featured three portions of about 25 grams each, accompanied by thin apple crescents. Good quality, but rusticity is a distant memory. ​Desserts and Afternoon Tea: the two tiramisus we ordered were good, but there was no artisanal house liqueur, usually found in any true trattoria. We settled for a commercial product (Amaro del Capo). ​Conclusions The bill of €52 per person (€156 total) isn't a crazy expense, but it's completely inconsistent with the service we received and the final feeling of fullness. We left with our hunger still unsatisfied. The mistake was my failure to delve deeper into previous feedback: we were looking for a genuine experience and found an inhospitable hybrid. As a manager, I note several management parameters that don't add up and that should prompt the owners to reconsider.
