We found this by chance on a Sunday when it seemed all of Potenza was closed. It's tucked back a bit off the road but so wonderful! The local people explained to us how the different dishes were made. The owner & staff were very welcoming. We had lasagna, a thick pasta with bacon, a veal in wine sauce with mashed potatoes. We could not resist dessert of tiramasu and a Sicilian cake with nuts & chocolate. Not everyone liked the house red wine, but you may also order by the bottle, which I did. Don't miss it! One of the top 2 places we have eaten in Italy during our 4 weeks of driving around various regions.

From the appetizer to the dessert it is difficult to go wrong, I gave the chef carte blanche telling him that I wanted to eat typical Lucanian food, and so it was...
appetizer of cured meats with grilled cheeses, a second course of first courses accompanied with your own typical cheese, a second course of cod with sweet bran pepper, coffee and ammazzacaffè (made with bay leaves).

Restaurant located in the city of Potenza, it has very nice facilities, decorated with cycling items from the owner and some well-known cyclists in Italy. In relation to the food, the experience was excellent and I tried some pasta with a typical sauce from the Lucania area and for dessert a tiramisu that was from another planet, the quality of the products and the attention of the staff stood out.

Ottimi piatti della tradizione potentina. Servizio efficiente e personale gentile. Prezzi convenienti. Ambiente semplice ma accogliente. E non dimenticatevi di fare due chiacchiere con Mimmo perfetto padrone di casa e autentico ciclista amatoriale.
