Trattoria Messapica In Manduria

We are an Argentine family staying in Lecce and we decided to come and spend the day in Manduria. We ate a variety of excellent dishes and for dessert the tiramisu and tart which were also very good. We were looked after by the owner himself, very nice and kind. The atmosphere is very warm and everything is very clean. We went in the off season so it was also very quiet. We definitely recommend it! We are a family from Argentina who host us in Lecce and we decide to come and spend the day in Manduria. We have a variety of excellent dishes and then the tiramisu and the pastaflora which are also very popular. We waited for the same dueño, very nice and lovable. The very warm and all very clean environment. We were in low weather so it was also very quiet. We definitely recommend it! Solo dinner during a trip, an appetizer and a second course that arrived practically together, I had to choose what to let cool.

Today at the end of a motorbike outing we decided to stop in Manduria and go and eat somewhere, opening Google Maps we saw this restaurant which from the reviews seemed like a good place, actually great hospitality, more than abundant dishes, in the end we did a good choice also for the price paid

Very generous, very good dishes. Typical regional cuisine. The pasta is homemade. Good local wine, not expensive. Light addition considering the quality and quantity. Service a little clumsy however, we didn't have a minute of respite between the first and second.

Traditional restaurant, very nice service. The steaks were very good, recommend that in green pepper sauce. Also the vegetables of the day were very good, however I did not know what it was ;)

Everything about this restaurant is outdated and lacking attention and basic quality. All needs improvement - from the same music that plays again and again, plastic bent knives, to the dishes themselves - pasta with scampi in shell (opposite to shrimps and clams, scampi is very difficult to shell off), meat without any presentation, small vegetable or side. Also that cliché that tourists want only tiramisu for dessert. Positives are the friendly owner and restaurant location.

Consigliata da amici ci siamo recati in questo locale nel centro storico di Manduria per ben due volte - pranzo e cena, dove abbiamo assaporati piatti della tradizione salentino/pugliese cucinati con molta cura…grazie alla gentilezza del titolare che fra l’altro ci ha consigliato piatti tipici, quest’ultimi di ottima fattura…prezzi in linea con quello che si è assaporato…grazie per la bella esperienza…

Trattoria situata al centro paese, non molto grande. Cucina locale piatti abbondanti qualità media Titolare si impegna ma si vede che la cucina non è organizzata per molti commensali e attesa un po lunga. Prezzo nella medi di agosto.
