We were passing through after visiting Puglia by motorbike, in conclusion we started looking for a place where we could eat well and pay fair price. Here it is in Manduria (TA) the Messapian trattoria satisfied all our needs, staff, cuisine, dishes, location, everything was top, I only stayed one night but I would go back for another 100 just to taste their dishes again

It is a typical Italian restaurant, our waiter spoke only Italian and was very helpful. We had the orecchiette which was very tasty and and the grilled tuna which was recommended by our waiter. The vegetables of the day were a bit salty however.

A good lunch, we shared two dishes at the owner's suggestion. Very tasty, accompanied by a good Primitivo.
Dessert was tiramisu and an espresso lungo.

I've eaten at this place several times, and whoever I've gone with we've always been very satisfied with everything, from the food to the service. Typical local dishes and unique dishes, I recommend the tagliolini with lemon, up to the desserts. The kindness of the owners adds an extra touch.

Trattoria Messapica is the ideal place for those who want to discover the true flavors of Salento. I had the pleasure of dining here and every course was a surprise.
The starters offer an authentic taste of local cuisine, with fresh ingredients and balanced flavours. The first course, prepared with homemade pasta, was simply perfect, with a sauce that enhanced each ingredient. The desserts also lived up to expectations, closing the meal in the best way.
The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff attentive and available to tell the tradition behind each dish. A perfect place for those visiting the area and wanting to have an authentic gastronomic experience. Highly recommended.

Trattoria ubicata in pieno centro, accogliente e ben arredata. Il padrone, Sig. Angelo, molto ospitale, è simpatico e professionale. Locale tovato per caso mentre tornavamo a Bari da Campomarino (TA). Buono il capocollo di Martina Franca, burratina, pomodorini e rucola per antipasto. A seguire spaghettoni cacio e pepe con vongole e tagliolini alla menta con melanzane e ricotta marzotica. Entrambi ottimi. Arrosto misto (eccezionale il capretto). Per finire un tiramisù strepitoso! Tutto preparato dalla moglie. cuoca da 10 e lode. Ci torneremo e lo consiglieremo ad amici e parenti.
