Beautiful mountain trattoria, with typical setting and furnishings. Truly excellent food, dishes varied throughout the year and cooked with skill and attention. Nice simple and flat walk from Sansicario alta to reach it as an alternative to the car

After a walk in this beautiful mountain place, we stopped to have an aperitif:

1 Campari Soda
0 snacks (e.g. crisps, pretzels)
Total: €20
I recommend asking for the menu because the cocktails are out at €15 each.

Located between Cesana and Sestriere and easily reachable even on the last stretch of road, which from the provincial road leads to the beautiful hamlet of Champlas Seguin, the place is very charming, with low vaults and stone and brick walls.
Fireplace and intimate atmosphere complete a positive picture.
The cuisine, typical mountain cuisine, unsuitable for a low-calorie diet but capable of warming the heart, convinced us.
We ordered: a trio of starters, raw meat with quail egg, polenta concia, both with and without fried eggs placed on top, abundant and generously seasoned, and final zabaglione.
All in all, a well-stocked wine list.
Courteous but not very fast service (which is not even required, people go to these places for the tranquility and the possibility of chatting without rushing).
Very good acoustic comfort.
Not cheap but adequate in my opinion.

Finalmente una polenta concia eseguita a regola d’arte ricca di formaggi e molto gustosa. Il locale è molto bello e , nonostante fosse pieno, siamo stati serviti con discreta rapidità. Buona anche la costata e lo zabaglione finale.

I discovered this place during a car rally
We had an appetizer with Salami, Cheese and Speck. Followed by: Polenta, Polenta Concia, Veal Stew, Venison and Sausage in Sauce.
All the dishes were excellent and plentiful
The restaurant is located in a small village surrounded by greenery
I recommend this place to all tourists passing through the area
I will definitely come back

Location calda e accogliente, curata nei dettagli e situata in un piccolo borgo tipico montano . Piatti gustosi e genuini, porzioni abbondanti e ottima carta dei vini. Scelta anche per esigenze gluten free. Torneremo !

Truly a great experience. Genuine cuisine like that of the past in a welcoming environment with exposed brick vaults. Quality food, excellent service and lots of courtesy. Bagna cauda without garlic is truly excellent (said by a distrustful Piedmontese) and the cheese wheel is stratospheric. Absolutely worth the trip. I will return and recommend it.
