Delicious barbecue with pork and veal meat and mixed grilled vegetables.
11 july: two barbecue grills, one with mixed meat and the second with mutton (filet, ribs and leg) and Sangiovese wine. Delicous, well-cooked, perfectly salted, and topped with some aro,amici herbs. Perfect, in my humble opinion.

You can't go to Faenza without having a meal at the legendary Marianaza. An ancient place, much more than historic, run by Natascia with her sister Luana, daughters of the legendary Mariangela. A place that preserves the scents and sensations of times gone by. A small place that offers a sort of conviviality with the nearby tables. Nothing to say about the food: homemade Romagna excellence. Those who have not been to Faenza have missed out on much of what Romagna food and hospitality mean.

Place I had passed by a while ago where I had not had lunch because it was fully booked: this time, moving a little early, I made it... and it was really worth it: piada with lard, homemade giardiniera, mutton, pasta and beans and, to conclude, an EXCELLENT tripe ♥️
I have not tried the cellar out of respect for my driving license but, soon, I will come BY TRAIN. Spectacular!

Excellent typical Romagna cuisine, excellent staff, kind, competent and friendly! The trifle is a fairy tale! They have a wide choice of wines with excellences from the area and not only that, I appreciated the fact that they also had some 375ml mezzens!

Marianaza, an Osteria with a great history that can be savored in the environment, unchanged over the years.
The fire, always lit, gives a sense of Romagna history, to be experienced in the moment.
Traditional dishes, respecting culinary continuity, which Natascia carries forward with character and strength!

I must say that we had never been to this lovely little place. Everything was very good, the place was intimate and well organised, the girls at the tables were kind and fast. The food was really good, the first courses were tasty and the second courses were grilled by a guy who seemed to have 30 years of experience, but was instead serious and very, very competent. The price was in line with the goodness of the food and the absolute quality of the raw materials. The zuppa inglese was well above average, which in almost all the places in Romagna is already truly excellent. We will be back very willingly and very soon. Well done.
