A typical tavern offering a wide selection of traditional Romagna dishes. Here you can enjoy excellent tagliatelle and meats cooked on the spot over the large open fireplace. The tripe is excellent.

We arrived in Faenza and, searching for "typical Faenza food," Marianaza was the first place we found... and I must say, it was an excellent choice! We were truly delighted. We started with a cured meats appetizer with piadina, then we also had a piadina with squacquerone cheese and arugula (super good and simple, just how I like it). I chose the grilled vegetables, while he chose the mutton rib: both were excellent, well-cooked and flavorful. To finish, we shared a cocoa cake with their homemade jam, truly delicious. Recommended if you want to eat traditional food and leave satisfied!

15/03/2026: You walk in and it feels like you're entering a 30-year-old trattoria. You immediately notice the vegetables on the table with dips, all ready. The classic Romagna appetizers arrive shortly afterward, without having ordered them (it's like that for everyone, you know). Shortly afterward, Roberto, a very particular older gentleman, arrives. He lists the menu and then you choose. The menu is listed, you choose, and off you go. Special mention goes to the dessert trolleys (there are about 3/4 of them), which are very good and varied. The place is a trattoria, and after a while they play classical Romagna music at a high volume, which, however, is appreciated in such a setting, and you can still converse at the table.
04/03/2026: If you're looking for authentic Romagna cuisine, Trattoria da Roberto is a must-visit. It's more than just a restaurant, it's a place where you feel welcomed like family. The atmosphere is warm and convivial, perfect for celebrating special moments or enjoying a genuine dinner. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every course: from the hand-rolled pasta dishes, bursting with tradition, to the perfectly cooked meats. The service is attentive and courteous, with a touch of friendliness that makes the experience unforgettable. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. A true gem in Massa Lombarda that never disappoints!

12/03/2026: It was a unique and incredible experience. The whole quality of Miròla lies, in my opinion, in the quality of the food and the attentive service. I arrived on Saturday at 12:30, the restaurant's opening time. The doors were still closed, and those of us who had reservations had already been waiting in line for a few minutes. The wait for opening becomes an excuse to give new customers the chance to read the only available menu posted at the entrance, something perhaps customary in inns of long ago... As soon as the doors open, one of the waitresses welcomes everyone and diligently directs them to their respective tables. Mine was a table for four, in one of the restaurant's three rooms. Shortly afterward, the waitress arrives and takes your order with a smile and a friendly approach, without using any instructions and therefore memorizing everything in her head (I see the same thing happening even with tables of multiple diners, and this is therefore indicative of absolute mastery of the menu and the craft). The dishes arrive. In my case, cappelletti with ragù, a mixed roast meat including a very tender mutton, and a side of baked potatoes. To top it all off, a latte brulé, Miròla's true highlight. Coffee and amaro. Everything was perfect. A place without any aesthetic or decorative frills, just food and the convivial atmosphere it manages to create, even if you're alone. Standing ovation for everything 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Go, book in advance, but go.
