Trattoria Maga Magò In Firenze

Amazing place, really nice and calm atmosphere. We really enjoyed our pasta and tiramisu

We visited Maga Magò on a Wednesday afternoon. It was not busy and they had an availablily. The food was good, but the portion sizes are not so big, so I'd recommend getting some starters to share.

The food was made with both skill and passion + the owners/ staff are very charming.

Cute place! Traditional dishes with rich taste, lovely service, highly recommended! The liver pate and the mussles in red wine are wholeheartedly recommended!

If you are ever in Florence I would heartily recommend grabbing a meal here. This small family run Trattoria focuses on simple, fresh, seasonal, and traditional local dishes cooked wonderfully by Efraim who is Italian / American. The menu is not extensive (nor expensive), but belies the culinary expertise in which it is delivered to your table. Finished off our meal with a rich Chocolate Mousse and the best Creme Brûlée I have ever tasted! Delizioso! Delizioso! Delizioso!

Cute restaurant with delicious food. We got the tortelloni filled with Gorgonzola in a pear walnut sauce (so light, unique and tasty) and the eggplant parmigiana (really thin eggplant…just the right amount of sauce and cheese…authentic comfort food…one of the best we’ve had). We would definitely get both dishes again!!!

Cute little gem away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas whilst still located very centrally. There are plenty of seating outside which is perfect for warm summer days. Menu is limited but they clearly make them very well. Unfortunately the lady was pretty occupied with multiple phone calls etc. which impacted on service (she forgot to serve bread to me which would’ve been nice to have with the leftover sauce of my pasta). The guy (the chef) was however very good and attentive. I had pasta with clams - super delicious and authentic although they clams aren’t very fresh (only half of the portion have open shells, the rest remain closed). But I guess Florence is far from the sea! I also tried caccio de pepe - so sublime and perfectly seasoned. The chef really is talented. My biggest compliment is the tiramisu - definitely the best tiramisu I’ve ever had so far. So packed with flavour, perfect texture and just enough sweetness. Despite some issue with service, I think they still deserve 5 stars and I’d happily visit again!

We were looking for a bite of lunch and found this trattoria. We chose this place because of the inviting decor in deep yellows and warm colors. I had the linguine with clams and could not have been more satisfied. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the clam sauce was delicate and delicious. My partners ravioli was also perfectly cooked and tasty. We talked with the owner/chef and learned that he had worked in two of the United States biggest cities. His experience was evident in his cooking. The ristorante just slightly away from most of Florence's best historic sites. Take a short walk from there and enjoy this gem of a restaurant.

There are three types of bites that represent Chinese cuisine: Wen, Zhao, and Wogh. Wen is the bite of hunger, eaten out of necessity. Zhao is the bite of choice, when we eat because it's delicious. And Wogh is the bite that connects us with memories, with our history; the bite of the heart. Today, my partner and I tried the spaghetti and balanzoni, and we both found that bite of the heart: we enjoyed every flavor and created a new memory with the authenticity of Italy in each dish. For dessert, the panna cotta and tiramisu exceeded all expectations: the perfect contrast of temperatures, the balance between the bitterness of the chocolate and the smoothness of the cream... simply unforgettable. A place that not only nourishes, but also excites. ✨ We will definitely return on future trips.

A restaurant serving bold Italian cuisine, along with traditional Tuscan dishes. Ideal for those who prefer authenticity to a tourist menu. A superb wine selection and excellent value. Thanks to Efrem and Lidia, who always make you feel at home.
