Trattoria Madonnina In Milano

Old fashioned Milanese trattoria. Excellent dishes, fast service even at lunch (when it is very full) and a relaxed and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent for both an informal business lunch, in the company of friends or alone. Advise!

Historic Milanese restaurant, with a familiar and typical atmosphere, the dishes are well made and tasty, the prices for a tavern are a little above average (a Coke €4.50) but we are still in Milan. The only flaw about the service is that for the prices offered it is not exactly adequate, a single person who takes care of reception, orders and cash register could be better.

Authentic, quality food (super approved even by grandma) very pleasant atmosphere even if very chaotic. Quick and friendly service. They accompanied my grandmother to the table. However, you have to book in advance otherwise you won't find a place.

It had been a long time since I stopped at the Madonnina and the change of management had left me perplexed. I must say that the place is now more "comfortable" but it is still very pleasant, fortunately the food has remained excellent and the prices accessible. I devoured an ossobuco with polenta and a cheese platter. I'll be back soon.

Typical Milanese restaurant, awarded for several years by various food and wine associations and guides. The restaurant is located in a not too well-lit street, unrelated to the confusion of Milanese nightlife. The furnishings represent the soul of the restaurant well: it is rather simple and welcoming. The dishes I tried mainly concern the Lombard tradition, with a small exception for the fried gnocco. The dishes were all very good, with variable flavor (e.g. polenta with little salt, risotto with luganega and raspadura quite tasty, ditto for the cutlet). Average prices, for the type of cuisine and the city. I probably would have preferred to find a local wine such as "house" wine (there is a Montepulciano) or the possibility of ordering half a liter or 1/4 rather than just the litre. In any case, I recommend this restaurant for the culinary experience which, in my opinion and from what I have tried so far, comes closest to the true Milanese tradition.

We came as a couple for lunch. Characteristic and well-kept place. Good, quality food. Medium-high prices, but certainly acceptable given the location. Friendly, polite and well-organized staff. The only flaw: excessive speed in the service, we both happened to see ourselves "remove" the plate with the last portion still in our mouths, and more than once; frankly a bit annoying. Overall, recommended

Ossobuco with risotto very good, the polenta not so much

Everything was perfect, very fun to hear that the restaurants original owners wife was from sweden and that there was some swedish signs in the restaurant, very good experience.
