A very nice place. We had a very good dinner, relaxed, because we've been indulging for over 10 days, so it's relaxed. We ate grilled chicken with tomato and arugula salad. Soft music, very good service.

Visited in March 2013 - Just six minutes’ walk from the Duomo, this San Lorenzo trattoria is a reliable option if you find yourself stuck for dinner nearby (book ahead, it fills up fast). Seasonal produce drives the menu: young artichokes, sliced fine with olive oil and pecorino romano, were the perfect spring starter (8.5/10). A grilled loin of pork with roasted potatoes followed - pink, tender, and simply seasoned, with potatoes caramelised at the edges and scented with rosemary (7/10). Tiramisu closed the meal: light and creamy, though it needed a stronger espresso backbone for balance (7/10). Honest cucina casalinga with attentive service and solid execution.

This is my review: the food is excellent. The Florentine steak is mouth-watering. There were three of us, and they put us at a somewhat small table. The service could be improved. The Florentine steak alone is worth the trip!

Allo Stracotto, si mangia davvero bene. Che sia un pranzo di famiglia o una festa tra amici, sinceramente non si può chiedere di meglio. Piatti di grande qualità dagli antipasti al dolce, ottimi i fegatini e gli affettati, una strepitosa cacio e pepe e menzione d'onore per la Bistecca. Grande cortesia da parte del personale di sala e si trova a due passi dal Duomo. Stracotto, straconsigliato

14/08/2025: Excellent location, right in the town square. The room was standard, fairly clean, but a towel was missing, and a bar of soap was already opened. But the biggest problem was the lack of breakfast. We'd mentioned that one of us ate a savory breakfast, but the morning clerk didn't know, so she brought a single croissant and then half a schiacciatina from the next door. The coffee and cappuccino were poor.
27/06/2025: Well what can I say spectacular cuisine, very kind and above all helpful staff We are on the Tuscan Apennines, those who like these places will find everything fascinating

08/10/2025: Atmospheric atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food! Ravioli carbonara with truffle, superb classic tartare, and grilled vegetables. Good house wine, by the glass, a little cold... I ate very well!
