An excellent trattoria serving traditional dishes and delicious local wines. It's hard to find trattorias or restaurants in the countryside open at midday this season, and this is a credit to the owners' efforts to stay open. Highly recommended, excellent value.

A typical Tuscan family-run trattoria. Rustic, simple atmosphere. The menu changes frequently depending on the availability of ingredients; the kitchen creates dishes prepared with love and passion, with authentic, rich, and succulent flavors. High quality for a satisfying meal. Very friendly and welcoming service. Absolutely fair prices.

We stopped by without a reservation and were welcomed without any problems. We mentioned that we had three children, and they were happy with their accommodations. Excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and very kind and attentive staff. We'll definitely be back.

Eravamo di passaggio a Scansano e abbiamo deciso di provare questa Trattoria immersa nelle verdi colline. Si è rivelata un’ottima esperienza. Gli antipasti della casa sono tutti squisiti, i pici ai carciofi eccezionali, per finire con i gustosissimi dolci fatti in casa. Tutto perfetto. Non vedo l’ora di ritornare in questa meravigliosa Trattoria.

05/10/2025: Agriristoro: A somewhat overused term in its genre... ... But at "il giardino" you'll find the true essence! The delightful hosts welcome you into their home and make you feel like a "family guest" from the moment you arrive. The place is beautiful, inside, out, and all around. The small outdoor garden and the little furry friends Piero and Gino complete the picture. The chef is truly brilliant: she offers daily diners a "fixed menu for THAT day ONLY," which the first person to call decides based on what's fresh on offer... You always land on your feet! Freshness and authenticity are the watchwords: from the garden vegetables in the appetizer to the Portuguese milk in the grandmother's dessert! Everything was so good that the photos didn't even reach the main courses (roasted suckling pig and fried mushrooms... By the way!!) and stopped at what were the best and most heartwarming homemade ravioli I've ever eaten. Everything was excellent, even down to the bitter taste. The price was very fair for the experience, and I'll see you next time!

31/10/2025: Update October 2025: We returned after a year and I stand by my previous review. Everything was excellent. ******* A place to recommend! We stopped by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes we tried. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the menu catered to all tastes, and the house wine was excellent. We ordered Chianina beef carpaccio, pappardella with wild boar ragù, and the Cinta Senese steak. Excellent value for money.
