After a few months I returned to Trattoria L'Alternativa. I found a renewed menu, with few but excellent proposals, all valid. The food is of good quality and the wine cellar truly excellent. The service stands out for the courtesy and affability of the staff. The only sore point concerns the structure, which appears a little neglected and worn by time. Furthermore, you tend to come out full of smells, which is a real shame considering the standard of the cuisine. However, I must say that I ate a really good grissinopoli!

Shabby style restaurant, the atmosphere is welcoming, the staff at the tables are attentive and very kind. The chef and his assistants prepare typical Piedmontese and Italian dishes, always cooked with great care and excellent quality ingredients. The prices are honest. I recommend everyone to treat themselves to a lunch or dinner in this restaurant.

Really excellent, the place is not huge but the two times we were there we found a table for 2 people without problems. The menu is not huge but varies often, both fish and meat dishes and the desserts are also very good (especially the typical bonet). Staff always kind and friendly, always available for every request and fairly fast service. Average prices: veal stew with baked potatoes €14, linguine with seafood €16, classic first courses from €10 to €14. Very recommended!

10/01/2025: The quality of the food and service is truly excellent! From the breakfasts with those croissants and especially the tart... one leads to another. The coffee is one of the best around. Then in the lunch service they offer a different menu every day and this is also of excellent quality. Lots of choice. And the staff is always friendly and joking. When you become a regular customer you just have to sit at the table, they already know everything... if only all bars were like this....
28/11/2024: We only ate toast due to time constraints. I found great availability and empathy (we were waiting for an operation in the nearby medical center) We will definitely return to have a meal (the appearance of the dishes was simple but inviting) with more time available.

02/02/2025: I recently had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant and would like to share my experience. First of all, I highly recommend adopting the shift booking technique. It's really frustrating to book a table for a certain time and then have to wait outside for an hour, especially with a little girl who isn't even one year old. This aspect made the arrival a little stressful and ruined part of the experience. Having said that, I can say that the food was very good. I appreciated the various gluten-free options, which are always a great addition. Unfortunately, due to the wait and the fact that we were a little anxious about the little girl, we were not able to enjoy the dishes as we would have liked. In summary, while the restaurant offers a good dining experience and several choices for those with special needs, the management of reservations could be improved to ensure a more pleasant experience for all guests. I hope this feedback can be useful in making improvements.
