The wine is very good, I haven't been to Japan yet, but my friend who lived in Tokyo for 5 years said it's very authentic Japanese cuisine.

We went for dinner because it was close to our apartment. Delicious Japanese food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, considering how expensive everything is in this city.

Delicious food at a fair price. We received excellent service and had one of the best meals of our trip at this restaurant.

I heard that the owner and chef is originally from Nagoya, so I decided to have my first meal here after arriving in Florence during my travels. I had miso katsu and Japanese-style tonkotsu ramen. The miso katsu comes with a separate plate of sweet miso, and you can add as much as you like. After slurping the Japanese-style tonkotsu, I felt a soft "suga◯ya" flavor in my mouth, and the char siu and noodles were delicious and comforting. I arrived on an early Friday evening without a reservation, but I was grateful that they were able to find a seat for me!

It was just ordinary Japanese home cooking, made by a proper Japanese housewife (househusband). It was delicious and I was moved. (Those who say it was cold and tasteless don't know how delicious fried eggplant is. Eat Chinese tempura sushi with mayonnaise! Come the day before yesterday.) All Japanese people living overseas should come here.

This small Japanese restaurant truly surprised me, especially for those, like me, who have been fortunate enough to visit Japan. Here, you won't find the classic sushi restaurant dishes you see everywhere in Italy, but rather dishes that are much more reminiscent of everyday Japanese fare, such as the delicious karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken).
The place is small but cozy, with typical, subtle background music that made me feel like I was back in Japan for a moment. The staff is entirely Japanese, very friendly and helpful: it was pleasant to exchange a few words in Japanese, although they obviously speak fluent Italian as well.
I recommend the set menu: it includes an appetizer (usually vegetable-based), a bowl of rice, a truly delicious miso soup, and a main course with a choice of meat or fish. There's also an à la carte menu with more options and a selection of desserts: I tried the matcha tiramisu, which is definitely worth a mention.
The location is convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. If you're just leaving, just arriving, or short on time but want an authentic and satisfying meal, I highly recommend it.
