Trattoria La Placette In Usseaux

We stopped by today for lunch, the restaurant is located in a very nice and suggestive place in the Alps. Inside it looks a bit old but characteristic. Portions a bit small, at times it seemed a bit of a joke, especially for the vegetable side dishes (2 whole boiled carrots and 80 grams of spinach).. We instead enjoyed the artisanal fondue in the gnocchi, and the fillet steak, which although small, was cooked to perfection. In proportion to the quantity of food on the plates, however, we found the prices a bit high and the staff little desire to interact with the customer, except for the youngest girl who welcomed us, who despite it being past 2 pm, made us sit without batting an eyelid and served us with professionalism. Good but portions and prices need to be reviewed.

Good food, special romantic cozy place

Relaxing lunch overlooking the Alps! Welcoming location with a beautiful view of the snow-capped Alps, the attention to detail makes it a pleasant place to spend a moment of peaceful relaxation! Menu worthy of the place, 2 starters in the center with an assortment of typical dishes from the area! The pappardelle with roast sauce is excellent and the gnocchi with cheese fondue are really excellent! We could do better with the desserts, which were still good! Average bill, reasonable considering the location with a beautiful view. The service was punctual and very professional, congratulations!

Very cozy restaurant with a menu of delicious dishes

We stayed in this widespread hotel located in the beautiful village of Usseaux. Our room, entirely furnished in wood, with attention to every detail, offered us an ideal accommodation, in the silence and relaxing atmosphere typical of the mountains. Last but not least, we took advantage of a small spa located right on the ground floor, a real gem, reserved just for us, which is however only dedicated to hotel guests. A special thank you to Elisa who welcomed us with such care and kindness. We then had dinner in their restaurant, very tasty typical local dishes, compliments to the chef Matteo. In short... we had a great time. Top! We recommend it!

By chance we happened to visit the village with its paintings on the walls. And then walking through the streets we found this trattoria open on Mondays, a nice surprise. We ate outside with the sun, but also inside, very welcoming mountain refuge type. Very varied menu, quality food. We had pre-cut vegetables with very good meat. Very good desserts. Very kind owners. We'll be back. Congratulations.
