Trattoria La Pieve In Vignola

Dinner with 10 friends, Saturday evening at 8pm, the place is full and the decor is very simple. We go only because I remember they are the best borlenghi in the plains but we discover the crepes, which I took, which are superlative: 3 rosette-like "flowers" served in a small terracotta casserole, rich in cheese and well-measured cooked ham, perfectly cooked, temperature close to nuclear fusion inside the sun 😁. Others took and enjoyed the pumpkin tortelloni seasoned with butter and sage or bacon, or the tagliatelle. Mixed grill good in quantity, good in quality; the fillets are very good. The baked potatoes are stratospheric, but they run out quickly so I recommend booking them 🧐. The only slightly discordant note are the wines: not at the same level as the food, among the various I remember most willingly the Lambrusco di Sorbara. Despite this, there will be many bottles 🫣 It must be said that with quality wines the price would rise 🤷. The protagonist of the evening is the borlengo: the first one is enough to understand that it will be a success, confirmed by everyone I see at our table (many... But really many) and the others; classic mountain borlengo of the Serravalle-Guiglia-Zocca tradition seasoned with lard, garlic, rosemary and a sprinkle of parmesan, heavenly cooking, wonderful dosage... PERFECT. Dessert brought to us, various coffees and coffee killers. €36 well deserved

Good dining experience, staff are friendly and informal. Tigelle perhaps a little dry, but otherwise all good. You enter hungry and leave full. An extra waiter would also help speed up service. Reasonable prices. I recommend it anyway.

I don't want to be picky by saying that the place is very simple, but the value for money is good. I personally would go to this restaurant just to taste the Borlenghi.

Finalmente ! Dopo tanto chiedere in giro per l'Emilia, ho trovato i "Borlenghi". Di passaggio da Vignola mi informano di questo ristorante famoso per questa specialità modenese dei quali ho un ricordo di tanti anni fa. Prenotiamo subito per la serata di lunedì 21.10 ed arriviamo puntuali. Il locale è molto "trattoria anni 70" spartano e senza tanti fronzoli ma comunque pulito ed accogliente, "respira" di tradizione e cucina emiliana. Partiamo subito con due borlenghi a testa, classici ed uno, per me, con condimento all'aceto balsamico. Gli stessi sono ottimi, da mangiarsi rigorosamente con le mani, fragranti e della giusta dimensione si sente bene il parmigiano anzi, ad averlo poi saputo, ne avrei mangiati altri. Infatti, poichè subito dopo entra una comitiva, alla mia richiesta di averne ancora, ci rispondono che ci sarà da attendere un bel pò (la cosa mi fa piacere perchè vuol dire che li fanno al momento ma un pò mi delude) per cui desistiamo e ci "accontentiamo" di quello che avevamo ordinato all'inizio e cioè gnocco e crescentine con affettati e verdure con pinzimonio. Avendo ordinato una porzione per uno, non posso dire nulla sulla quantità anche se gli affettati non mi hanno entusiasmato come tipologia (avrei tolto la testina e messo altro). Bisognerebbe aver preso almeno due porzioni e, magari, aver chiesto che tipi di affettati desideravamo ma va bene così, tutto era ben servito ed assolutamente buonissimo, inoltre il pinzimonio era spettacolare. Vino della casa lambrusco molto gradevole e fresco, acqua e caffè per concludere. In definitiva lo consiglio vivamente, torneremo per i Borlenghi che ho visto da menù essere cucinati in moltissime varianti (chiedete tutto prima però perchè se ne avete ancora voglia è facile che Vi dicano che ci sarà da aspettare molto).
