The atmosphere is warm yet refined. Pici with pistachios and shrimp is excellent. The homemade trifle is delicious, and the kindness of the owner's daughter, who also serves, makes all the difference. A special touch is the provision of bowls of water for our four-legged friends.

At midday in Orbetello, many restaurants are closed. We were looking for a quick lunch. La Pergola was recommended to us by a nice gentleman originally from the Amalfi Coast but who has lived in Orbetello for many years, where he sold fish. The place is welcoming and quiet, very charming. The service is excellent, discreet, and kind. Everything is very clean and intimate. I can't give a more detailed review because I had a quick lunch, but I must say that the menu is very inviting, especially the fish section. And since I'm Venetian... Let's get to the point. I had the first course of the day: picci with shrimp and pistachios. The portion was just right, and the flavor??? EXCELLENT. Really good, well-balanced and creamy. My guests ordered fried fish, which they enjoyed, and my son ordered a rib-eye steak, which was good and fresh, as was the meat. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive either; let's say it's fair. A positive review, but since I'm often in the area, I think I'll be back to further explore the menu and perhaps the wine list. La Pergola in Orbetello gets a thumbs up!
