Trattoria La Motta In Domodossola

As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a large antique fireplace, and the entire atmosphere is a blend of old and new. You can choose between the à la carte menu or the daily menu. It's located just steps from Domodossola's central squares. You should definitely come in spring or summer to fully enjoy the view of the rooftops and the beautiful village.

A random choice during a Sunday stroll through Domodossola (a group of five). They were willing to accommodate us even though we hadn't booked. The location is warm and welcoming, with artwork, music, and soft lighting. We chose the Sunday menu. The lard and cheese appetizer on a bed of quinces is noteworthy. For our first course, we chose the green lasagna with venison ragù, complemented by two à la carte first courses: the gnocchi all'Ossolana, highly recommended, and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The roast chestnuts with baked potatoes reminded us of Sunday lunches at home. We were amazed by the quality of the carafe wine, as was the delicious crème caramel, which concluded a flavorful meal we highly recommend.

We stopped for lunch, purely by chance because we were passing through... well, what a discovery!! We immediately felt welcomed, even though it was busy; they didn't hesitate and immediately set up a spot for us. They had warned us there would be a bit of a wait, but in reality, they were quick and excellent! The welcome was truly top-notch, as were the dishes; we had an aperitif with cured meats and sweet and sour vegetables (each one better than the last), tortelli, and the Milanese... All delicious! The dessert was a delight... and what can I say about the blueberries picked by the chef?! The quality of the carafe wine amazed us; I'd seriously give it more than 5 stars if I could. The staff was top-notch, super helpful, and made you feel immediately at ease. And when you see that there's a camaraderie and cheerfulness among the staff, well... it's a perfect place! Highly recommended if you're in the area! I would love to have a place like theirs near my house 😁 Congratulations again guys and, please, keep it up, you are amazing!!

A divine place. A lunch of express-cooked dishes, delicious risottos, and even the fish on the menu. And the plums from the owners' garden. How wonderful and how kind. And the rose petal jam. Well done.

A Domo per il mercato, ritorniamo in questo locale che già conoscevamo. Il menù a 16 euro è interessante, la qualità di quanto mangiato buona. A nostro parere, però, l'acqua (75 cl) a 4.50 euro è inaccettabile. Non ci torneremo più.
