Trattoria La Falce In Modena

On our way back from vacation, we stopped in unfamiliar with the place and without a reservation, and they welcomed us kindly. The four of us ate heartily and without spending a fortune; the food was good and the portions generous. We had a great time.

We went for lunch, but apparently… if you are not a regular customer, you are not taken into consideration. We all order the same dish, so there was not much margin for justified waiting or margin for confusion.. and yet! The dish arrives for one of us, after more than 10 minutes three more dishes arrive, and after another 5 the last dish. We practically ate staggered, furthermore there is no attention to the customer: they do not bring the plate for the fish fragments (spaghetti with clams), nor ask if everything is okay or if they need something… the service is not very welcoming and kind. The place is ventilated by some floor fans, but if you are not nearby, the environment is quite hot. Medium-high prices, especially if it has to leave something to be desired like this.

Typical trattoria, with excellent choice of products, friendly staff and good value for money. I only tried the second courses, tender meat cooked on the grill

When I'm in Modena for work it's the place where I always go for lunch, the work menu is good, the service is fast and punctual.

A lovely trattoria serving traditional cuisine, including gnocco and tigelle. The menu is quite varied, with carefully prepared dishes and just the right amount of flavor. Service is good.
