Beautiful and welcoming historic trattoria in Massarosa. Warm environment, open kitchen, truly tasty and balanced dishes (exquisite Garfagnana-style spelled soup, as is the wild boar with fried polenta). Really poor service, shame. Listless and superficial, the thin boy with gray hair gave me the list of dishes and the list of wines (an encyclopedia... but do they still exist??? Impossible to choose!!) without giving me any information on the dishes, except when I asked him. I asked for a glass of their house wine, he poured it for me and if I didn't ask for it he didn't even tell me what it was (a Sangiovese), at a reasonable price: 6 euros! Sin

Everything superlative. All the dishes were very good (I mention that my favorite dish from Tuscany remains Peposo, which I also ate and it was delicious), the lady who served us was very nice and attentive to all the details. The place is very nice too. We ate: peposo, baked pork with mushrooms, pasta with pork, pasta with ragu, dessert: tiramisu and semifreddo with rum. I drank the red house wine. All were VERY GOOD!!!

Nice Trattoria, very good food, have been there three times with my wife and it was always perfect. The waiters were very helpfull, the food delicius. Also the ambience is very, very pleasant. Will come back for sure!

We have eaten in this restaurant several times, and each time we really enjoyed it, the place is welcoming, the food excellent, the meat super and last but not least the staff is helpful and kind. Our favorite place when we come to Tuscany!

Tastefully furnished place, rustic but elegant, open kitchen, excellent food with fine raw materials cooked in an excellent way, welcoming and very kind staff. Honest price.

It's the second time I've stopped to eat in this restaurant and as always the place is perfect. Excellent food, friendly staff and wide choice of typical Tuscan dishes. Rustic and family atmosphere in a fabulous setting. Large outdoor parking. It is located a stone's throw from the Massarosa exit. Absolutely recommended

08/04/2025: This lovely family-run trattoria which was recommended by a friend who lives in Lucca. Very friendly service, good, reasonably-priced food and wine and a cosy atmosphere.
08/04/2025: Shows that Italian food is also very good beyond pizza and pasta. Nice trattoria in a sunny spot at midday. Priced slightly higher, but definitely good value.
