Trattoria La Corteccia In Massarosa

Highly recommended restaurant. We arrived on a Saturday evening at 8:30 pm when everyone was already seated. They took our order within minutes, and in less than 15 minutes we had our appetizer. Congratulations! Being so efficient and quick with so many people shows great organization. The food was very high quality and very reasonably priced. We'll be back to try other dishes.

Excellent - both the service and the quality of the food

A historic restaurant in Massarosa, beautiful and welcoming. Its cuisine features traditional dishes. Over time, one gets the sense that it has focused more on serving large numbers than on quality and attention to detail. The service is very prompt, even when crowded, though it's completely lacking in a smile and friendliness. The wine cellar is excellent, but the quality-price ratio has deteriorated compared to the past, and prices are in line with the market.

A top score! A historic restaurant in Massarosa, where I had the pleasure of returning yesterday and was, as usual, extremely satisfied with the excellent seasonal dishes, the spacious and always well-appointed spaces (redecorated in autumnal style yesterday), and the friendly and prompt service from the staff under the direction of owner David Cecchi. We enjoyed a fine bottle of Morellino di Scansano, including a tartare with shaved uncinato truffle, cinta with porcini mushrooms, galletto al mattone (a historic dish), and mixed grilled meats with baked potatoes. For dessert, we sampled a fruit tart and a chocolate and pear cake, all delicious and excellent value. La Corteccia confirms itself as the ideal restaurant for dinners for couples, with friends, or for business. We'll be back soon!

Excellent typical Tuscan food in a beautiful setting

Excellent Tuscan trattoria, delicious lunch, well-kept, spacious, clean, stylish restaurant, efficient staff, quick service, very good food, really good quality meat, excellent grilled vegetables, convenient outdoor parking, spotless bathrooms, reasonable bill. It's not very close for me, but I'll definitely be back!
