Not much to say: excellent food, excellent meat, and we tried both the Florentine steak and the mixed grill, as well as the cockerel; both fried and freshly sautéed porcini mushrooms. The atmosphere was quaint, the wait time was reasonable, and the price was in line with the quality. It would be nice if the staff were a little friendlier...

Good traditional trattoria, excellent value. Very pleasant atmosphere, especially the veranda. Service is attentive. Porcini mushrooms and truffles are available at the right time of year. Excellent meat. I recommend!

On our way to Versilia, we stopped for a pleasant break at the La Corteccia restaurant. It's a lovely place, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly and professional staff. Excellent local dishes, with a large focus on mushrooms and truffles.

We had the pleasure of dining at La Corteccia restaurant in Massarosa, and the experience was simply unforgettable.

Very good food, unfortunately the waitress got confused with the orders simply because we asked for 2 or 3 appetizers to nibble on (which we ended up not ordering).
Not to mention the after-dinner experience: if I have an appetizer and a first course and another diner has a first course and a second course, I, who have the appetizer, eat first while the other diner waits because he has a first course and a second course.
I really can't believe how waiters work these days. I repeat, nice place, good food, but not so good service.
