A family-run restaurant that warms the heart – Our favorite place!
We returned to Ristorante La Capanna for the umpteenth time, and it was, as always, an absolute confirmation. It's become a wonderful tradition for us to bring our dearest friends here, both those visiting Italy for the first time and those who return often.
Being a family-run restaurant, the welcome is not only friendly, but I'd almost say heartfelt: they make you feel part of the family with genuine care. The menu is simply incredible, and every course is a true pleasure. I personally chose the polenta with braised beef and was enchanted: the meat was so tender and the flavor truly exceptional. You can taste all the passion they put into cooking!
It's rare to find a place that combines such high-quality cuisine with such sincere human warmth.
Heartfelt thanks to the whole family, we'll be back again and again! Highly recommended! 🍾🥂🍀

A mandatory annual stop with former classmates from Mosè Bianchi in Monza (graduating high school in 1977/78) to enjoy an evening dedicated to their fabulous casoeula. We never fail to offer an alternative (sliced or braised beef) for the more "fragile" members of the group of 14, even this year. It's always best to arrange this when booking.

2026 - Unfortunately, I have to amend my review from two years ago because today's experience was negative. Prices have skyrocketed and are unbalanced, dishes lack that extra something, a nearly hour-long drive that's definitely not worth the meal, and the golden price paid for mediocre, under-processed ingredients.
I don't know if I'll give it another chance, and I'm sorry to say so, both because I've always given this restaurant excellent publicity and because I've been waiting a long time to return.
On a positive note, the service has improved over time; it's courteous, attentive, and kind.
2024 - This restaurant offers an excellent selection for celiacs, with first courses featuring truly delicious homemade pasta, good value for money. Seasonal, well-designed menus.
The atmosphere is a bit dated, and the service is sometimes a bit too pompous for the setting, but the quality of the dishes makes everything else seem secondary. The first courses are spectacular, even the gluten-free ones.

A truly positive experience. We ate very well, from appetizer to dessert, but the highlight was the ossobuco with mushrooms and saffron risotto, truly special. The waitress was very kind and courteous. We'll be back soon to try other dishes... and my heartfelt compliments to the chef. I recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Brianza cuisine.
