Excellent place in the center of San Severo, very friendly staff and service, traditional dishes, in particular on the fixed menu an abundant appetizer with various tastings and a good first course, with wine and dessert, all for 30 euros. Absolutely recommended!

Found by pure chance while we were looking for a place to have lunch; we had the only table left free because they had canceled it 10 minutes earlier... This place was a real surprise: beautiful, elegant and with a friendly host who is passionate about his work and his preparations. Unfortunately we did not take the complete menu (on August 15th they had a pre-established menu at a fixed price), because we were passing through and a fairly long journey awaited us (we were coming from Matera and were headed to Loreto), despite our voluntary and agreed when we showed up at the restaurant, he still discounted the dishes we didn't take. Those taken were very good and also plentiful: the appetizers were truly special, a special mention for the prawns (I think but I'm not sure, something like that anyway) with a delicate and precious parsley sauce to enhance the taste of the fish. However, all the dishes were good. We skipped the first and moved on to the second: a sea bass fillet (I think!) very good and paired with a gratin. We also skipped dessert, unfortunately, but the journey was long and we didn't want to weigh ourselves down too much or spend too long at the table. I don't know if there will be an opportunity to pass through San Severo at mealtime again but, if it does happen again, I will definitely stop at Cantinella. The price is not low but here we are in a place where you are happy to spend a little more because the quality is high, the environment is beautiful, welcoming and the staff are attentive and kind.

Happened by chance during a return trip from Salento. Welcoming environment, the lack of a written menu bothers me a lot especially when you then hear that at the occupied tables you subsequently list other courses in addition to those indicated to us. The appetizer proposal is for everyone and I must say that it is worth it for the goodness and traditional flavor of the dishes. For the first courses I would have preferred something more typical than ravioli with speck in butter and sage but as mentioned before, without tomato, I was only offered this alternative to the strascinati with sauce. We didn't take the second course because the starter was plentiful and they had to get back on the road. To top it all off, two glasses of "local" rosé wine served from a half-filled glass wine carafe, two coffees and a bitter. The wait staff was very kind and professional.

Fabio is the King! We ate divinely! My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful intimate lunch. Good! Abundant! And TOP service! With unbeatable quality/price! If you pass by or are in San Severo, it is a must to try the true flavors of Puglia!
