La Canfora In Ghiffa

Trattoria La Canfora impressed us across the board! The dishes were absolutely fantastic – full of flavor, lovingly prepared, and simply authentic Italian. The tiramisu was especially heavenly – my new favorite dessert! A big thank you to the entire team and the chef for the warm service, the excellent cuisine, and the pleasant atmosphere. What was especially nice was the child-friendliness! Our son felt completely at home. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back on our next visit!

A very nice restaurant with friendly service. The food is regional and features many seafood dishes. But there are also a few options on the menu for those who aren't fish lovers. The desserts are particularly delicious.

We spent three days in Ghiffa. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a table on the first evening. Instead, we made a reservation for the next one. So always go early or make a reservation, because it's totally worth it. See for yourself. Great value for money. Delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos from the second day because we simply enjoyed it. One day, we had strips of grouper with horseradish, deviled shrimp, cozze in white wine with rosemary, and grilled sea bream. Two days, we had balsamic shrimp on arugula, homemade ravioli filled with shrimp and scallops. Amazing.

Fresh fish and delicious mussels. However, I found the €3 coperto to be quite substantial, and the side dishes, which weren't included, rather meager. Unfortunately, we didn't leave the restaurant feeling full, which wasn't due to the amount of fish, but rather to the amount of spaghetti and side dishes. As a result, the value for money wasn't that good.
