Trattoria La Buca di Zibello In Zibello

Prices too high, small portions, decent food, 156 euros for 2 starters, 2 first courses, 2 desserts, a bottle of Franciacorta, water, coffee, it seems excessive to me, I won't be back again

Today I finally managed to invite a couple of friends to lunch, to whom I had raved in detail about the place, the food, and the entire staff at "La Buca." I was completely satisfied. The quiet place is very well-maintained; I'd even dare to call it elegant, while still maintaining the simplicity and character of a trattoria. In the warmer months, as I've been there, you can enjoy lunch/dinner under a cool, green arbour. The staff is attentive, kind, and professional. The menu is always rich and varied, with typical dishes, cooked, in my humble opinion, exemplary, maintaining home-style tradition, and served with just the right portions. The menu obviously includes culatello, salami, cooked shoulder accompanied by their apple mostarda, and giardiniera, a feast for the palate. In short, I've put "La Buca" on my list of favorite places, and I would always recommend it for everything, to everyone.

While visiting Zibello, on the Culatello trail, we decided to try this trattoria we'd heard great things about. The food is high-quality, but the portions aren't overly generous considering the decidedly high prices. Would I go back? No, it's not worth it. On a positive note, the Culatello is truly delicious and, in my opinion, the only one on the menu with a fair price.

The prices aren't those of a trattoria, but the place is nice. We came mainly for the tagliatelle with culatello. I expected more. The tagliatelle were excellent, but I would have preferred the culatello to be less crunchy and more blended with the pasta, but that's a matter of taste. The culatello we had as an appetizer was excellent.
