02/11/2025: If you're looking for an authentic trattoria, one that seems to have come from another era, this is perfect. It's nestled in the countryside, with a slightly dark and rustic interior, just as you'd expect from such a place. The atmosphere is quiet, no frills.
The food? Beautifully hearty and flavorful, as it should be. Rooster is the specialty: served in sauce with pasta or baked, serious fare. I had the tripe, and finally... it REALLY tasted like tripe! I hadn't had such a good one in years.
We washed it all down with the house wine, simple but good. The price is a bit high, but that's okay: the quality is evident. The service is relaxed, not super fast, but kind and professional.
There are also tables outside, shaded by plants—it must be wonderful in the summer. Be warned: it's best to reserve, as they're often full. There aren't many seats inside, so it's best to be safe.
