After a morning spent wandering around the village of Badolato, we decided to have lunch at this tavern. The food was excellent and delicious, and the owner, Antonio, was excellent company and service. He welcomed us as if we were at home. As we chatted, he even offered us some prickly pears to try. Highly recommended if you're visiting Badolato.

A genuine, family-friendly culinary experience. The dishes, made with locally sourced ingredients, are a true delight: the parmigiana and stuffed eggplant were excellent, but the mushroom gnocchi were truly amazing. The lack of a menu was also appreciated, with the owner simply listing the few excellent daily specials. The price, discovered only at the end, turned out to be very fair and without any surprises—in fact, I'll definitely be back!

The atmosphere is beautiful and typical of a trattoria. The owner is very professional and clearly has some experience in the industry. The dishes are good, but above all, the wine is the ace in the hole. Overall, everything is good.
The only negative is that there's no menu with prices, which are excellent, by the way.

The trattoria has very welcoming spaces, housed in vaulted spaces in the basement of an ancient building.
The cuisine is tasty yet light, rediscovering the authentic flavors of this part of Calabria. I also really appreciated the fairly basic menu, which guarantees the freshness of the ingredients. Everything is homemade, even the wine is excellent. I'm not usually a fan of artisanal wine, and I can tell if a wine is good or not if it immediately jumps to my head after the first glass. This one is good, not too tannic, and fragrant.
The owner is friendly, discreet, and welcoming.
The prices are very fair.

We spent a week in Badolato and had the opportunity to try almost every restaurant in the village. I can honestly say this is the absolute best! It's truly traditional cuisine, the food is of the highest quality and flavor.
The appetizers with cured meats and mushrooms are unmissable, the first courses are exceptional (we tried both the tagliatelle with mushrooms and the gnocchi with ragù, authentic flavors), the meat-based second courses are second to none (the lamb is tender and melts in your mouth, the sausage is sliced with a knife and is a delight), and the green beans are simply amazing!
The almond biscuit baked by the chef at the end is magnificent; I absolutely recommend it.
Last, but definitely not least, the red wine is excellent. We couldn't miss the quart of wine!

Un posto dove ci piacerebbe tornare.
Cibo ottimo con materie prime eccellenti e cucina curata ed esperta. Ottimi l'antipasto, l'agnello, la melanzana ripiena... speciali anche i fagiolini! Per non parlare dell'eccezionale pasta fatta in casa, buona e leggera. Vino rosso della casa di ottima qualità. Servizio impeccabile, con il tocco in più di chi conosce quello che offre e lo illustra con passione. Grande gentilezza. Cordiale disponibilità anche nei confronti del nostro cane.

Increíble trattoria. Interior muy lindo. Los propietarios son muy amables. Pero vinimos por la comida y no nos decepcionaron. Todo fue increíble, pero lo más destacado fueron las pastas caseras con setas porcini y el vino tinto de la casa.
Recomendamos encarecidamente este restaurante.
