Trattoria il Grottino da Orlando In Cascia

We went last night for dinner with the family. Rather simple, sober, essential environment. Excellent service, quick even though the place was almost full. Furthermore, there were five of us without a reservation. Excellent food: in particular tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, gricia and tagliolini with red wild boar ragù. Not having ordered second courses, we went straight to dessert: chocolate caprese with sprinkles of Nutella, hazelnut paste and coca. Really very good. The only flaw: the lasagna. They were lukewarm when they arrived and overcooked. We had advised against ordering them to the person who took them, based on the consideration that it is better to order local dishes, which in Umbria generally (we have been to various Umbrian places over the years and have always eaten very well, but looking for local dishes) are very good. The Il Grottino restaurant, therefore, is recommended to those passing through Cascia.

Unico, imbattibile. Abbiamo mangiato strabene. Lo staff è preparatissimo in materia e appassionato. Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo. Consiglio vivamente una sosta culinaria in questo ristorante. Bravi bravi e ancora bravi!

I had an incredible experience visiting this restaurant, starting with the great service and choosing the tourist menu, where I tried excellent pasta, freshly made, with delicious ingredients and well-prepared and generous food. The value was very good. I will visit more often.

Locale in centro a Cascia. Da quanto ho potuto vedere nei paraggi sono tutti locali/trattorie tipiche del posto che offrono prodotti locali, cucinati secondo tradizione. Pranzato all’aperto lungo l’inizio della piccola passeggiata. Personale gentilissimo. Cibo di cui si sente la genuinità. Servizio veloce. Prezzo corretto.

Our fixed stop, every time we return to Cascia! Kind, good, helpful, friendly and excellent food! Small place, where you can breathe a real "Trattoria" atmosphere, in the most positive sense of the term, a few steps from the Basilica of Santa Rita! These are the places we like! Visiting Cascia and its Santa Rita is religiosity, having lunch at the Grottino da Orlando is pleasure for the palate, we ordered the "Il frettoloso" menu, abundant and excellent dishes and fast and courteous service, even if the place was crowded! We can only recommend it ❤️💋
