I've been there several times.
The family atmosphere is well-maintained and clean.
Impeccable and punctual service.
The appetizers, which include a variety of cold cuts,
were plentiful.
Local cuisine dishes are well-prepared, with generous portions, and I always ask if anyone wants more.
The desserts are equally excellent; it's recommended for a lunch with family, friends, or colleagues.
The bill is also good.

Bar Trattoria Il Ceppo – Volpara (PV)
In the heart of the hills on the border between Lombardy and Emilia, Volpara is a small village that hosts the Bar Trattoria Il Ceppo, a place with a simple and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers typical dishes of the area, with a marked Piacenza influence.
The starters deserve a special mention, especially for the quality of the cold cuts, tasty and well selected. The first courses are very good, but the portions are a little small. As for the latter, they are normal: decent, but not particularly memorable.
Overall, Il Ceppo is a recommended option if you are in the area and want to enjoy traditional cuisine in a relaxed setting.

At "Il Strano" it takes very little for you to feel at home. Friendly, helpful but still attentive service. Good starters of cured meats with giardiniera and bean salad. Braised ravioli that you wish would never end, and the classic pisarei and fasò. The braised meat is really excellent, like the roast veal. Pleasantly accompanied by an excellent house wine. The plum jam tart at the end of lunch is also good. Note also on the prices, even slightly below the average for the area. We had a really good time. Thank you.
