A restaurant in the heart of the Murgia Materana, excellent food and good prices, saving you a few euros compared to others on the same street. The restroom is clean despite the busy streets. You can eat inside or outside on the panoramic terrace. They don't accept lunch after 2:30 PM; I recommend arriving at 12:30 PM. After 1:00 PM, the number of people arriving is at a peak, although they do arrive fairly quickly.

I stopped by while exploring Matera. It has a local feel and a great location. I ordered bruschetta and carbonara. I've read other reviews that the carbonara was poorly rated, but it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were al dente and the flavor was easy for Japanese people to enjoy. I'd definitely return if I visit Matera again.

A very typical establishment of the region. The terraces offer a very interesting view of the landscape outside the walls. The products are fresh and well-prepared. The prices are reasonable. It's a good place to go for a quiet lunch. Quieter than in the center of the Sassi.

Excellent traditional cuisine served on a terrace with an enchanting view, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it!

Very local and authentic restaurant. My children played with the kid of the owner. Super food and great ambience with several piece of antiques. The people are very kind and nice! Highly recommended

Trattoria vera, piatti semplici, popolari e soprattutto materami. Il locale è molto semplice ma altrettanto gradevole, il personale gentilissimo, ed infine il conto assolutamente in linea. 62 € in due.

Servizio impeccabile, qualità del cibo impensabile, spero piu locali si ispirino a questo, complimenti davvero. Ovviamente mi stavo riferendo al locale accanto, questo invece, è un’ottima parruccheria, ah e la cotoletta di pollo ha sviluppato il parrucchino. A nome di Gianluca, ♥️ 🫶🏿

14/05/2025: La comida estaba fuera de este mundo Lo intentamos entre nosotros cuatro La mitad del menú estaba asombrado por cada Plato. El camarero era agradable y paciente Explicó todo. Muy bien. Recomiendo.
04/05/2025: Nos sentamos a tomar un aperitivo en su terraza . La comida estaba buenísima , con varios tipos de pan y fiambre y quesos con mermelada. El vino recomendado espectacular. El servicio super amable y el interior del restaurante de ensueño . Para recomendar y repetir .

06/10/2025: We had a great dinner there with a friend who lives in Rotondella. She said it was the best and we totally agree. It is a family run restaurant and they were ready to give us some of the local delicacies. We had the antipasto platter, then specialty pie called L’Patizz, one stuffed with pork the other potato and green peppers. Then dried and then quickly fried red peppers, called peperoni cruschi - very tasty and crunchy. We also tried the local pasta Frizzole co middiche. The pasta is hand rolled and curled with an iron rod. The chef came out to talk to us and it was a very friendly place. A very enjoyable evening.
31/08/2025: We ate on a panoramic terrace with a spectacular view. Excellent sausage, eggplant, salad, and ricotta tart. We returned two days later. Same table, same view. Falagoni calzone with potatoes and onions as an appetizer. Frizzuli as a first course: handmade pasta with a mixed meat tomato sauce and breadcrumbs. Ricotta and chocolate tart. Everything was excellent, and the lady serving the tables was very friendly.
