The dishes combine both traditional Roman dishes and things a little fresher or suitable to remain light such as salads or cold dishes.
The cost is normal.

Amazing food for a fraction of a price in town. 5€ for pasta, bottle of water and bottle of wine. Opening times 13:00 - 15:00 and 20:30 - 22:00. Small cozy place for locals. We're only tourist on Friday at 13:00. You don't choose your pasta, you get pasta of the day, sit down and they'll bring it to your table 😉

It's nice experience to have cheap meal and wine for 5€ and everyone else except us are the locals. There's no menu so you just have to sit where the waiters guide you and wait for them to bring you the water, wine and the food. The food is whatever the chef makes on the day. It's really a nice experience. You also can pay with card, but they don't accept American Express card.

No compromises at lunch. You can eat the dish of the day with water, wine and coffee included for 5 euros, if you don't like the dish of the day there are no alternatives. True historic Roman tavern.

Sono stata a cena con mio marito in questo accogliente locale, dove tutto, ma proprio tutto, ha il calore ed il sapore sapore di casa, dagli arredi alle pietanze, sapientemente preparate personalmente dall’oste (finto burbero). Così, in un gioco di luci soffuse e mobili retrò, abbiamo gustato dell’ottima ricotta di pecora, una gustosissima pasta alla gricia, il pollo con i peperoni proprio come lo faceva mia nonna e, ultimo ma non ultimo, una squisita e calda crostata di visciole.
Si sente la mano del padrone e, soprattutto, che il padrone viene da una generazione di osti (con comprovanti fotografie esposte) dal secolo scorso. Buon sangue non mente. Da provare assolutamente!

Soluzione per pranzo da toccata e fuga con prezzi a dir poco incredibili considerata la zona e la media in città. Con 5€ primo del giorno (non ci sono scelte), acqua, vino e caffè. La formula è consolidata e prevede un solo piatto che cambia di giorno in giorno. Posto quindi non convenzionale, non è un ristorante per rimanere a tempo perso o per prendersela con troppa calma. Si mangia e si va via.
