Found this place because it was close to where we were staying. Probably had some of my favourite food the entire 2 weeks in Italy. Service was fantastic and our server taught us a thing or two! Wine was delicious

They deliver what they promise: pasta, wine, and coffee for 5 euros. Don't expect five-star service or spotless cleanliness. The fight for a seat is real, and not everyone respects the order of arrival. Here's a tip: stay alert and wait inside the restaurant — when someone gets up, grab the seat quickly. The service is fast, and the food is good. Definitely worth it.

We arrived at 1.15 PM, it was empty, no line. Tried the 5 eur menu and it was good. Very good value for money, portion is good, and it's delicious. I gave a 4 star review because there is room for improvement. The staff could throw a smile here and there, but they look dead . I saw the owner's comment that you can't have everything with 5 Eur about a similar comment, but being pleasant and nice has nothing to do with how much you pay. Teach your staff that paying less does not equal being treated poorly. + the cafe has suger, without taking in consideration people who do not consume sugar or who are diabetic. I KNOW it's written, but that doesn't mean it's a good decision. Overall, it's a good experience to do once in a while, or once in your life as a tourist, but there are improvements needed.

Three of us...for dinner. We had carbonara, a gricia, and a cacio e pepe. All really good. Friendly and kind owner. Welcoming place. Delicious desserts!

Weekend lunch, with a fixed menu for €5 per person: first course (amatriciana), water and wine, and coffee. Excellent value for the low price. There's no choice, but that's understandable. It's a shame about the waiters' lack of communication; they don't speak, they don't explain the service at all, which is simply written on a blackboard, they bring your dish without a word, and then bring your coffee while the first course is still on the table. In short, highly recommended for a quiet, reasonably quick, and certainly affordable lunch. A shame about the service, but nothing serious. REPLY TO THE OWNER: Dear Sir, I'm not claiming anything. I left you a subjective review, because reviews can only be subjective, based on my experience. If I had claimed any service whatsoever, I certainly wouldn't have given you 4 stars, don't you think? Since I left you a positive review, however, I feel I have no claim whatsoever. I don't think I demanded any service; in fact, if you reread what I wrote, you'll notice that I justified these alleged shortcomings by citing the low price (claims because you mentioned them, not me). I therefore kindly invite you to reread the review carefully, taking your time. Finally, I remind you that kindness, friendliness, a smile, and a polite word are not amenities, but basic human courtesy. Politeness doesn't cost you, and I don't have to pay for it. It's not difficult: just smile, say hello, and say a simple "How did it go?" or "Goodbye, have a nice day." Obviously, this doesn't affect my rating of your establishment, since I'm judging the place. I remind you, however, that I recommended your restaurant, so I invite you once again to read it carefully. I can even understand the employees; they might be tired.

The atmosphere is very refined and the host is very friendly. The first courses are among the best I've ever tasted, but the portions are a bit small. The wait was a bit long, but in the end it was worth it, and the host explained that he was alone that evening. I personally can't comment on the price, as we ate with a 50% discount on the fork; otherwise, the prices would have been a bit higher than average (carbonara €15). Overall, I'll definitely be back.

For lunch, there's a fixed menu for €5, including a pasta dish of the day, water, wine, and moka pot. No variations—whatever you order is what you eat. This, combined with the super homey atmosphere, makes you feel like you're in the dining room of a Roman home. Not gourmet, but real, good cuisine. You leave feeling full and satisfied, eating well in a beautiful setting and spending very little. Truly, nothing to complain about. Since I discovered it, it's been a regular stop every time I come to Rome. If I could just criticize the staff, they're not particularly warm, but that's just to nitpick.

Sono stata stasera in questa deliziosa trattoria con il mio ragazzo e ne siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti. Il locale è intimo, curato nei dettagli e si respira un’atmosfera accogliente e familiare. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo fin dal nostro arrivo, attento e disponibile per tutta la serata. Abbiamo gustato un’ottima cucina romana, autentica e ben preparata: piatti ricchi di sapore, porzioni generose e ingredienti di qualità. Il tutto a un prezzo onestissimo, difficile da trovare altrove. Consigliato!
