It was a stay I will never forget and I absolutely recommend it! The location is close to various points of interest. The place is lovely, with ample parking and a nice garden to relax in. The service is impeccable! The kindness of all the staff and owners is remarkable. And the welcome is top notch, you feel at home pampered. The spacious room was perfectly clean, plenty of super scented linen. The succulent breakfast with sweet and savory, cakes and homemade bread. We also had dinner, service, wine and food at top levels! Really congratulations and thank you!

Tra Trieste e Gorizia nel Carso abbiamo ritrovato questa Antica Locanda Devetak 1870 ci eravamo stati circa 30 anni fa , il buon ricordo che avevamo e’ stato confermato alla grande , ottimi piatti di tradizione e ottima location accogliente semplice ma raffinata veramente un tuffo nel passato gradevolissimo, la gestione sempre al altezza e molto gentile da consigliare vivamente, a fine pasto abbiamo anche chiesto la visita alla cantina, impressionante la vastità di etichette sia del territorio che del resto del mondo . Bravissimi a portare avanti le tradizioni degli ottimi piatti degustati . Spero di tornarci 👏👏

For the first time at Lokanda with my husband! Enchanting discovery immersed in nature and I believe that the fact of being isolated is an added value. It gives you a sense of peace and poetry!!! Carefully prepared dishes with quality raw materials! In those dishes we found flavour, refinement and love! Excellent wines! Excellent service!! What to say??? Had dinner this evening for the first time and it was a wonderful discovery, excellent food, fantastic service always with a smile and explanation of the dish. Price is normal and we are talking about a restaurant with a Michelin star. For me it also deserves the second star. We will definitely return

An extraordinary experience in an extraordinary place. Excellent slow food restaurant run by two generations of the family with passion and dedication and a very nice guest house with great attention to detail, including in the furnishings of the rooms. Here the term “host” takes on a new and special quality thanks to the Devetak family. From the reception on arrival to the rooms, the food, the wines and the departure, it was just perfect. All expectations were exceeded. Great menus and dishes, the best wines from regional winemakers and very attentive and friendly service and good advice. Regional cuisine with flavors and local ingredients from the Italian-Slovenian border area, which are prepared, presented and taste very attractive. Large, very well-kept area with various small seating areas in the garden. A heavenly peace at night and when you get up a fantastic breakfast offering with excellent cheese, ham and salami, home-baked cakes and bread, home-made jams with unusual flavor combinations, fresh fruit from the neighborhood and so on. Unfortunately, the body's own absorption capacity sets limits here, otherwise you could spend the whole morning trying the delicacies. The dishes for dinner are in no way inferior. Every single dish on the tasting menu with matching wines is a poem. There are only 2 small problems: Monday and Tuesday the restaurant takes a well-deserved break and you can't eat there and unfortunately you have to leave at some point ;-). It was our first time but certainly not the last time at Lokanda Devetak.
