Spending an evening in Catania always has its charm, we booked this restaurant for dinner, excellent choice, all the staff welcomed us as if we were close friends and family. We had a dinner based on very fresh fish accompanied with a white wine from Etna, we will certainly return to taste other dishes on the menu, if you happen to come to Catania, stop by Trattoria Giovanni Verga!!!

Last night I was in this place for the first time I was very satisfied with both the service, very good and fresh food, the owner was very kind, the place was well finished and comfortable, I highly recommend it, modest prices, always for what you order, thank you all, see you soon see you again

It has nothing to do with a trattoria, just the name, but it is a restaurant in all respects
the portions are not large for the price they charge
We took 2 starters, a first course and a local wine, 115.00 a bit expensive
for goodness sake the food wasn't bad but the prices are very high and you're not even facing the sea 🤔

Admiring the beauties in the beating heart of the city of Catania I came across this simply extraordinary trattoria as the service was by far excellent, a very welcoming place, thoughtful design, very kind staff, above all spectacular cuisine, excellent dishes, very fresh fish; I had never tried cuisine with such simple and delicious dishes, what can I say? I highly recommend Trattoria Giovanni Verga.
