Trattoria Giovanni Verga In Catania

Tonight my partner and I decided to try this restaurant because a friend had recommended it. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the welcome and kindness. The environment is sober and refined. Of the dishes we chose, we were particularly impressed by the anchovies with caramelized onion, the swordfish caponata and the imperial prawn covered in potato puree. Everything delicious. We will definitely be back. I recommend it!

All exciting. At the entrance they display the fresh catch, a real pleasure for the eyes while it still moves. We took advice from the owner, Mr Orazio, a great person, on what to eat, giving just a few guidelines on the preference for raw meat and choosing from the freshest dishes they had. Best raw fish we have ever eaten. The rest was also excellent, a first course with lobster and a first course called tik tok pasta, very good. We finished with a fried fish and two sorbets with strawberries. If I could I would give one more star... congratulations to the chef but above all to the staff who know how to make you feel in the right place

Excellent food, nice, fast service!. I found it very bright in the restaurant, so not very comfortable. But since the food was really perfect, fresh and surprising, we would definitely go back again. Top recommendation!!!
