Excellent trattoria in the center of Monza, very wide choice of first and second courses, always excellent, as are the desserts. Slightly higher cost than the usual fixed price lunch menu, but still justified by the quality.

Excellent cuisine, service and atmosphere

There aren't many words to describe the Antica Trattoria Garibaldi. Even after moving to the "new" location, it remains a point of reference for weekday lunch: excellent menu, fast and friendly service, very accessible price. And the cutlet… yum 😋 In the summer you eat out and for those who take a long break there is also... billiards!

Warning: this review may be addictive (just like their food)! If you are looking for the classic little place where "you eat well, but...", this is NOT for you. Here you eat like heaven, period. And no, I'm not biased just because the owners now know me better than my GP (even if they see me more often, in fact). The magic formula? Dishes that make you forget all your diet plans, service so fast that Flash is a snail in comparison, and prices that won't make you cry over the bill (you'll only shed tears of joy while eating). ATTENTION: if you want to enjoy this gastronomic paradise in peace, avoid showing up after 1.30pm. At that time the place transforms into a kind of culinary conference where everyone talks, eats, gesticulates and enjoys life with such contagious enthusiasm that even the walls seem to vibrate. Not that it's a problem, eh - just that you might have to shout “YUMMY!” a little louder than usual. PS: if after reading this review you aren't already in the car heading here, well, I don't know what to tell you anymore. In the meantime, I will already be at my usual table, enjoying my daily lunch like a king (or queen, you name it) at a commonplace price.

Beautiful venue in the historic center of Monza. Suggestive location, in an ancient building which with its courtyard, the cloister and the small church of San Gerardo dei Tintori welcome you and accompany you to the entrance of this restaurant. Excellent food, very kind and attentive guys in the room. The manager is also very attentive to customer satisfaction! Everything OK!
